OBAMA’S EXECUTIVE ACTIONS ON IMMIGRATION

How Shri Narendra Modi Will Help
His Undocumented Indians Take
Advantage Of This Executive Action
Modiji Might have Witnessed During
His Recent Visit to USA That We Are
Very Strong Supporter Of Him And
India and So He Must Help Us ASAP

The information in this presentation is not legal advice and should not take the place of individualized legal advice, it is intended as general information. People
seeking legal advice should contact an immigration attorney.

Starting in early 1970s undocumented Indians started migrating to the US living under
substandard financial hardship and in a shadow world
Background

Current Situation

WHY DO INDIANS MIGRATE TO AN UNKNOWN
FOREIGN LAND LEAVING THEIR FAMILY, THEIR
VILLAGE, THEIR COUNTRY

AFTER COMING TO AMERICA THEY HAVE
FACED HARSH REALITY OF LIVING UNDER THE
SHADOW

 Financial hardship, e.g. loss in business

 Only particular employers willing to provide
them employment and also force them to work
in substandard conditions and long hours

 Sacrifice their own life to support family, e.g.
parent’s medical bill, education of
kids/brothers/sisters, burden of wedding in the
family
 “Grass is always greener on the other side” –
Dreaming they can make it big these
immigrants are faced with tough reality
 Lack of education and required information to
migrate legally with proper documents
 No land ownership and access to land as well
as poor irrigation infrastructure to keep the
land fertile thus resulting in hardship

 Paid below low wages thus not able to provide
their families with proper food, shelter and
health care
 They are unable to get driving license which
limits their mobility thus not able to look for
opportunity or provide their families with basic
necessities like dropping their kids to school,
buy required daily groceries

 Others take advantage of them as they would
not approach authority for help
 All above results in immense mental and
physical stress

There are approximately 450,000 undocumented Citizens of India in USA.
India is the 4th largest source of undocumented immigrants in the United States after
Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala1
