In the course of fulfilling their own dreams as also those of their parents, kids are facing mental tensions. 2)Rankers and achievers are not born. Systematic ways made them. So, success has no short cuts. You can succeed only through planned work. Intelligence is there in one & all. One has to mould it to serve one’s interests. 15 billion bits of data could be stored by our brain, which is equal to reading & retaining 90 Lakhs books each with 1000 pages. We need certain right traits to become so. 3)Traits of a good student  Regularly attending the school.  Following discipline.  Respecting Parents & Teachers.  Listen carefully to the teacher.  Study the lesson on the same day.  Not to be lazy in doing home work.  Having great goals.  Becoming friendly with others.  Being always optimize. 4)Compete Students who get less marks ought to compete.Compete not with other who get more marks. By Seeing – 20% By Talking – 25% By Trying – 30% This is how we learn. 5)In the class room Our learning starts in the class room and let us see what we ought to do there. Listen to the lesson carefully. Pay attention to all the new words & figures the lecturer uses. Which given you clarity. Clarify your doubts soon after the lesson is taught. Attention & curious listening helps you understand most. Read the lesson soon you reach home. 6)At home Read the lesson once & see the pictures too . Note down difficult concepts are raise relavant questions. Repeat reading needs when most points get clarified. Then recollect the lesson once. We soon forget 80%& may not remember 20% . Read again in the evening . Remember sub Headings or write down synopsis. Repeat reading once after a fortnight & once after a month. When to read Our brain capacity to work varies based on time. Let us see the right time to study. 7)Brain capacity to work Between 5 am & 9 am - 100% Between 9 am & 1 pm - 60% Between 1 pm & 4 pm - 20% Between 4 pm & 7 pm - 40% Between 7 pm & 10 pm - 80% Between 10 pm & 12 mid night - 60% Between 12 mid night & 5 am - 20% Now you decide when to & when not to study. 8)How to read Studying is not eyes running along the letters. It is understanding & concentration. You thus remember in lesser time. Study all lessons promptly. Don’t skip a lesson not understood. Take your teachers help for difficult topics. Study difficult topics more time. Don’t study 4 or 5 subjects a day. Don’t study 4 or 5 hours continuously. Have a five minutes break for every half an hour study.

9)Maintaining regular study hours. Read sitting not lying. Table lamp excludes disturbance. Decide on your time of study. Silent reading is better for senior students to prevent waste of energy. Have attention replace your tension. Speed reading prevents distraction. Have the books 1 ½ feet from your eyes. 10)Unfocused long hour don’t help. Stop reading when strained. When irritable Take strocks.$$$$$ Relax with eyes closed. Have water. Listen to good music. Relax with deep breathing 10 times. Don’t chat when irritated. Don’t watch a T.V Programme. 11)For good hand writing Sit comfortably. Have a smooth pad. Book or Paper should not move. Pen held as to allow fingures and won’t movement freely. Hold the pen 3 inches above the nib. Keep the pen bent back to 45 O. Uniform and correct space between words & lines. Uniform and clear letters. Avoid slantary of lines & keep the parallel. 12)Memory tips With closed eyes, count from 100 to 1, then base numbers between 1 & 100 & then even numbers from 100 to 1. It may take 5 minutes. Then count every third number from 100 to 1. Different exercises like above improve memory.

13)During Exams Get the hall ticket two days in advance from Exam Centre. Don’t read syllabus font $$ on exam day. Just go through tips. Recollect with closed eyes. Don’t read commting $$$ in auto or bus. One day can’t compensate for 364 days. It leads only to tension. Reach exam hall ½ an hour in advance. Sit released for a while. Read the whole question paper once relaxedly. Then repeat the reading. This reduces anxiety. 14)Don’t forget numbering the answer sheet . Answer the best known question first. Then answer the moderately known ones. Then think about the difficult questions at the end. Number additional sheets, it helps in arranging the additional sheets easy. Discuss about the mistakes with your teacher after the exam, but not with the classmates. 15)Meditation Benefits with meditation Internal energy is activated. $$$ becomes released & illuminated. Improved concentration helps in study. One becomes fearless. Improves understanding capacity. Enhances memory.

16)Right time to meditate Early morning after bathing, but before breakfast or in the evening after school & bathing after for about 10 – 15 minutes. Meditation needs a bit of hunger & a bit of tiredness. The place should have, lighting and ventilation along silence. One has to be optimistic while meditation. 17)Method of Meditation Padmasan or Sukhasan suits for meditation. Straight back in ado$$. Keep right palm in the left palm and both in the lap. Keep both toes in contact.

Be a relaxed mood & the eyes closed. Slow breathing is optional. Concentrate your thoughts on breathing & whenever they are distracted bring them back to breathing. 18)Coming out from Meditation. Bring your head slowly to touch the chest. Eyes can be intentionally opened for 7 or 8 times before they are slowly & finally opened. This helps concentration & memory. 19) Other points of use Recollection of what is learnt is memory. Time between 10.00 pm & 5.00 am suits sleep. Speed writing practice helps in exams. A work repeated for 21 days forms a habbit. Writing once is better than reading ten times. Failure is not a crime, lack of a great goal is is a crime. A man with a goal lives for himself, whereas a man without a goal lives for one who has. Curiosity + Attention = Concentration.

20)Exam questions come from your syllabus only. Public Exams are as much like your weekly tests. Don’t forget nutrition food & exercise. Memory depends on interest. Facing the exam with self confidence is as important as studying. The eve of results is the day to harvest the results of hard work. The decision when faced with an expected lower rank is to study better. Enjoy study rather than re$$$ to hard study.
