Unit/Topic: Ive lost my rucksack / The Present Perfect Simple
Lesson aims:
learn the form of the Present Perfect simple
learn the forms of irregular verbs , especially the third
learn about the uses of the Present Perfect Simple
develop communicative skills
Skills: grammar & spelling, writing, speaking,
Materials: language booster, blackboard
Teaching methods: games, oral drills
Possible drawbacks:
some of the Ss may have problems about the form
Ss may not know all the third forms of the irregular verbs
Some Ss may have problems with vocabulary and meaning
ACTIVITY 1 (warm-up- a game)
Aims:
Introduce the SS to the topic of the lesson
Remind the past participle form of the verbs
prepare Ss for revision of the Present Perfect Simple

PROCEDURE
- the Ss are divided into 2 teams
- the T draws a TIC TAC TOE grid on the table
- the T gives the infinitive of some verbs
- the Ss are asked to give the past Participle form of
those verbs ( Ss may use the list of irregular verbs)

Aims:
revise the form of the Present Perfect simple tense
consolidate it through oral drills

- the Ss are asked to conjugate some verbs in the
affirmative, negative and interrogative forms

ACTIVITY 3 (speaking, writing)


Aims:
practice the form of the Present Perfect simple through a game : Find three people who have done at
least three things
develop accuracy and fluency in using the Present Perfect simple

PROCEDURE

Aims:
present the use of the Present Perfect tense and practice it

PROCEDURE
- the T writes some sentences on the blackboard with
the Present Perfect and elicits from the Ss its use.
-the Ss are asket to make up similar sentences with the
two activities they have done for some time;
- Ss practice some ex from the Language Booster
- T gives homewrok
