BODY CHANGE OVER IN EVAPORATOR -2 SECTION:

To ensure safe Body change over in Evaporator-2 Section.

4.1

These bodies can be bypassed online, no


need to shut the plant.

4.1.1

Inform the mechanical team half an hour


before we plan to bypass the body.

Select the sequence from DCS so that the


body to be bypassed comes at 1st position
in the sequence.

Close the steam inlet valve of body to be


bypassed (1A-HCV5005, 1B-HCV5006, 1C5007, 1D-5074)

After 15 min take the body in wash mode by


selecting the appropriate sequence.

Empty out the body through wash liquor


outlet valve (1A-LV5042B, 1B-5043B, 1C5044B, 1D-5076B) into WBL tank.

Take WWL in the body through wash liquor


inlet valve (1A-HV5036, 1B-5037, 1C-5038,
1D-5079) up to 60% level and do circulation
for 15 min.
Empty out the body through wash liquor
outlet valve as mentioned in 4.1.5 into WBL
tank. And again take WWL, do circulation for
30 min and empty out in WBL/WWL tank.

After that take WWL up to 60% level and do


circulation till an hour and repeat the
activity till 5 hrs.

Inform the mechanical team about the body


to be bypassed.

Empty out the body in WBL/WWL tank


through wash liquor outlet valve as
mentioned in 4.1.5 and if needed take hot
water/mill water through wash liquor inlet
header by opening manual valve and the
corresponding wash liquor inlet valve as
mentioned
in
4.1.6
to
lower
the
temperature of body up to 850C.
After that empty out the body completely
into WBL/WWL tank. Stop the circulation
pump and close its sealing water supply.

Drain the body by pump suction line drains


and divert that liquor to WBL tank by pit
pump.

In the mean time give work permit to


instrumentation team to get all the valves
of the body disable from instrument to
avoid any miss happening during cleaning
of the body. Follow 4.2.5

When vapors stop coming from air vent hand


over the body to mechanical. Give work permit
to rotate spectacle flanges of Steam inlet, vapor
outlet and condensate outlet lines.

As steam inlet valve is already closed, now


close the vapor outlet valve (1A-HCV0619,
1B-HCV0620, 1C-HCV0621, 1D-HCV0625),
condensate outlet valve (1A-LV5051, 1BLV5052, 1C-LV5053, 1D-LV5078) NCG line
manual valve and body air vent auto valve.
