I n a pr of ound paasur am (4.9.2), AzhwAr asks whet her t her e is anyone who
want s t o be t he Daasan of any God ot her t han Sr i RanganAt han. He explains
why it is dif f icult t o f ind any ot her god t o mat ch in compar ison t o Sr i
RanganAt han.
He says: “I f Maha Lakshmi, t he embodiment of clemency f or our apachAr ams
get s f ed up and some t imes complains about t he adiyAr s of t he Lor d, t hen t he
Lor d will pr ot est and come t o t heir r escue and say t hat His adiyAr s would not
have commit t ed such apachAr ams and if t hey ever commit t ed t hose
