Duties and Responsibilities:


Under the direct supervision of the Director (ICD),
Assistant Information and Communication Officer is
responsible for carrying out the following duties and
responsibilities:

Assist in building up the Documentation and


Information Service;

Assist in setting up a data bank of reliable and upto-date documentation and information of all
aspects of integrated rural development;

Assist in publishing newsletters, research reports


and other relevant materials;

Assist in preparing documentations on integrated


rural development;

Assist in providing documents/information needed


for conducting research/training; and

Qualifications and Experiences:

Masters Degree in Social Sciences,


preferably with Post Graduate Training in
Journalism and Mass Communication

Minimum 5 years experience in


Documentation/
Research/
Training/
Media related work.

Fluency in English

Age should not be more than 35 years

Level G-6, Step-I carries salary of US$ 525 per month (tax-free) & other benefits like Contributory Provident
Fund, Group Life Insurance, Group Term/Life, Accident and Medical Insurance, Supplementary Hospitalization
Assurance Policy for the Spouse & three children and Children Education Grant at the rate applicable in the
UNDP Dhaka subject to maximum of three children up to age of 21 years and other benefits as per CIRDAP
Rules.
