Activities :
1. Pupils observe the pictures of a boy working hard.
2. Pupils provide examples of words and phrases using manner, time and

1. Sequence the given text in order to create a simple story.

Activities :
1) Pupils recall the story they learnt previously in their own words.
2) Pupils take turns to read a new story via chain reading.
3) Pupils create a simple story by rearranging sentence strips.
4)Closure : Pupils read the whole story and recap the lesson learnt.

Reflection : About 36 out of 38 pupils were able to sequence sentences and
complete the story. The 2 pupils were given follow up excercises with guidance

1. Teacher shows pictures of things in the house and pupils talk about them.

1. Pupils recite the poem (Grandmas House) with correct stress, intonation and
pronunciation with teachers guidance
2. Pupils recite the poem in groups or pairs or individually using gestures.
3. Pupils are prompted to answer questions asked orally by the teacher.
4. Pupils in groups of 5 are required to perform a jazz chant with appropriate
gestures in front of the class.

Closure
Pupils are called randomly to talk about the things that they can find in their house.
