PROJECT SCOPE & BUILDING PARAMETERS:
1.
Project Scope: The proposed work involves approximately 4000 net sq. ft. of
floor area that includes multiple offices, conference room, lobby and small storage
space.
2.
Each office contains 2 personnel on average and light office equipment. The
lobby contains 5 personnel on average with light office equipment. Conference
room will accommodate 35 personnel, and is used approximately once every day
for a duration of 2 hours for meeting and planning purposes.
3.
Lighting is by ceiling-mounted fixtures. Lighting load to all spaces is assumed to
be 55 W/ft2.
4.
Exterior walls: Medium type walls with CLTD wall type 10. 4 Face Brick,
Insulation/Air Gap, Wood or metal stub with insulation.
5.
Roof construction: Suspended Acoustical Tile Ceiling, CLTD Roof type 5.
Concrete, insulation.
6.
Windows and doors: Approximately 20 windows and 2 external doors.
HVAC SYSTEM:
1. Proposed Cooling Plant: Packaged DX, intended for
installation on a rooftop comes equipped with all the components in the unit
intended for installation.
2. Proposed Heating Plant: Hot water Boiler, more suitable
for a small commercial office building when compared to a steam boiler.
3. Proposed Air Delivery System: VAV, by regulating the
volume of air delivered with the VAV the temperature of the space can be
controlled without having to the temperature of the supply air.
