Terrorism & Leadership

Terrorists murder and kidnap people, set off bombs, hijack
airplanes, set fires, and commit other serious attacks and crimes.
Most terrorist groups have a small number of members. Unlike
ordinary criminals, their goals are not to acquire money or some
other form of personal gain. Terrorists attack people who oppose
their cause or objects that symbolize such opposition.

Terrorist acts are committed for a variety of reasons. Some terrorist groups support a
particular political philosophy. Other organizations represent ethnic groups seeking
liberation from governments in power. Terrorist dictators employ violence to frighten or
eliminate their opposition. Terrorists believe the threat or use of violence is the best way
to create fear, gain publicity and notoriety, and increase support for their causes.

Now a day’s terrorism has a strong relationship with Leadership. If we see the leaders in
the world there are so many transactional or charismatic leaders are present who just
think their own benefits. They do not care what is going on in the world and what
happened if we will do some wrong tasks or give hand to those who want to do illegal or
terrorist activities. These leaders do not want to keep peace rather than they want to
destroy he humanity.

President Karzai

President Hamid Karzai was the first elected president in the history of Afghanistan. He
came to power after the Taliban was overthrown in late 2001. He was formally elected to
a five-year term in 2004. Karzai has survived numerous assassination attempts and has
been assigned the task of rebuilding Afghanistan. Some of the major problems he must
address include providing the country with an infrastructure so that citizens have the
basic necessities of life, keeping the Taliban out of power and controlling the warlords
who perpetuate the illegal drug trade.

War on Terrorism Must Have Regional Focus

From early 2002, the Afghan government stated repeatedly to the international
community that the war should have a more regional focus. "Events proved us right,
unfortunately," President Karzai said, adding that Pakistan is now suffering just as much,
if not more, than Afghanistan.

President Karzai said he sees "a ray of hope" in Pakistan for the first time now that Asif
Ali Zardari has been sworn into office as Pakistan's president. He expressed hope that
Zardari would have the instruments to make the changes necessary, including backing
from the United States and the rest of the world, and the wherewithal to tackle extremism
inside his embattled country.

Commenting on his meetings at the UN, Karzai said he was very pleased to meet
Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican Party's vice presidential candidate, who was
"concerned" and asked "the right questions on Afghanistan."

Karzai repeatedly expressed gratitude to the US, brushing aside concerns about America's
waning popularity in the region as a result of the "collateral damage" of NATO and US
operations, adding that when the US is criticized for the mistakes it makes in these
operations, it is criticized as a "friend."

Pakistan to cooperate in rooting out terrorism

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has urged India, Pakistan and Afghanistan to work
together to root out terrorism from the region. He expressed the hope that Pakistan would
extend its full cooperation in removing the menace from its soil.
“Terrorism in one country is definitely going to affect other countries. Karzai further said
that he hoped the new Obama regime in United States would continue to assist
Afghanistan and bring right pressure in the region to fight terrorism effectively.

Fight against terrorism

Barack Obama told Afghan President Hamid Karzai that the fight against terrorism in the
region and bringing security to the war-torn Afghanistan would be the top priority of his
government, the Afghan presidential palace said Sunday. .Obama assured President
Karzai in a telephone conversation Saturday night that the US assistance to Afghanistan
would increase when he takes office in January, Karzai’s office said in a statement.

This the first direct contact between Karzai and Obama since the Nov 4 US ma
emphasized that the US is committed to helping the people of Afghaelection.

“Obanistan. Obama had also said as a president he would divert attention from war in
Iraq to Afghanistan. He explicitly had mentioned that he would pursue the Taliban and
their Al Qaeda associates inside the Pakistani territory, a move that would be widely
supported by the Afghans.

Afghan officials and its public have repeatedly pointed the finger at Pakistani tribal areas,
where they claimed that Taliban and Al Qaeda militants are given sanctuaries. There are
more than 32,000 US troops in Afghanistan. The president-elect has pledged to send extra
troops to clamp down on militants during his administration.

Blackwater is world’s biggest, richest, deadliest and most
powerful mercenary army, which operates from United
States of America and even the world’s sole super power
hasn’t got any tangible control over this army, though
Black Water always acts as sidekick for the US armies
around the globe. The president of Blackwater is Erik Prince

Black Water hires retired army-men and villains and criminals from around the world.
Especially they target the poor countries in Asia and Africa for the fodder. They act as
NGOs and welfare organization in poor countries and recruit people in the name of

sending them to the land of dreams; the USA. They also reach first to the areas where
earthquakes and floods strike, and pickup the strong helpless men and give them “jobs.”

Black Water now operates under the name of “Xe”. After
Black Water name became so notorious with respect to the
Iraq war, the company president Gary Jackson changed the
name. Black Water or Xe is based in the U.S. state of North
Carolina, Xe operates a tactical training facility which the
company claims is the world’s largest, and at which the
company trains more than 40,000 people a year, mostly from U.S. or foreign military and
police services. The training consists of military offensive and defensive operations, as
well as smaller scale personal security. That’s only a cover, and the workings of this
covert organization comprises of all the dirty and murderous acts.

Orya Maqbool Jan of Express News wrote in is column that University Town in
Peshawar is the headquarter of Black Water in Pakistan. He also claims that Black Water
people can be frequently seen in the area guarding vehicles and people, clad in black suits
and black glasses. He also says that the biggest embassy of America in Islamabad having
thousands of employees is just another Black Water plan. He also says that Black Water
is operating in Pakistan under the cover of a NGO Creative Associates.

If that is true, then what exactly is the purpose and objective of Black Water in Pakistan?
What they are guarding or are they planning some kind of offensive? Our politicos are
dead silent over that. Our parliament is a rubber stamp, and our president is as usual on
foreign trips and our premier is all-time-confused. Our opposition is luke-warm and rest
of the parties are plain hopeless. The only hope against any Black Water is our security
forces and the people of this country, who are ready to shed every last drop of their blood
for the motherland.

Backwater and Terrorist attacks

Black water is involved every terrorist activities in Pakistan. Following is the list of some
major bomb blasts and suicidal attacks in which Black water is involved.

 Assassination of Benazir Bhutto
 Attack on Marriott Hotel
 Attack on Police Headquarter Manawa
 Attack on GHQ
 Attack in Islamic International University
 Moon Market Bomb Blast
 Bomb blast in M.Ali Jinnah Road Lahore
 Drone attacks

Drone Attacks

The United States government has made a series
of attacks on targets in Pakistan using drones
(unmanned aerial vehicles). Under the George W.
Bush administration, these controversial attacks
were called a part of the US' "War on Terrorism"
and sought to defeat the Taliban and Al-Qaeda
militants who were thought to have found a safe
haven in Pakistan. Most of these attacks are on targets in the Federally Administered
Tribal Areas in Northwest Pakistan. These strikes are mostly carried out by unmanned
aerial vehicles (UAVs) operated remotely from Creech Air Force Base and have
continued under the Presidency of Barack Obama. Generally the UAVs used are MQ-1
Predator and more recently MQ-9 Reaper firing AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The drones
have become a weapon of choice for the United States in the fight against al-Qaeda.
Some media refer to the series of attacks as a "drone war”. Pakistan’s government
publicly condemns these attacks but has secretly shared intelligence with Americans.

The CIA said the Blackwater has been loading bombs on US drones that target suspected
militants in Pakistan. The attacks, according to Pakistani media, kill civilians as well.

Mission of Backwater

The main mission of blackwater is to overtake the command of Nuclear Plant of Pakistan
and kill the Great Nuclear Scientist A.Q.Khan. The purpose of suicidal attacks and bomb
blasts is to harass the nation and destabilize the economy and Government. Target killing
is also a main part of its mission.

Our Leadership

Our leaders or politicians are involved in terrorist activities in the country. Rehman malik
said on November 21st, 2009 that I will quit if anyone proves that black water is present
in Pakistan.

The former head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, Asad Durrani said in an interview
with Press TV that Backwater, a notorious US security firm, is carrying out operations in
the country. His comments came after the US Central
intelligence Agency (CIA) revealed that Backwater,
which currently works under the name Xe Services,
has been involved in drone attacks in Pakistan.

General Durrani, however, said the group may be
involved in actions that destabilize the country

Peshawar has witnessed nine terror attacks since early October that have claimed over
240 lives and injured many more.

The Pakistani arm of the Taliban has denied
responsibility for a recent series of terrorist
attacks in Pakistan, instead pointing the finger at
Xe Services, the security contractor formerly
known as Blackwater, as well as the country's
own security services.

"The Tehreek-e-Taliban is not responsible for the bombings, but Backwater and
Pakistan's spy agency are behind them," said Pakistani Taliban spokesman Azam Tariq,
according to a translation from Al-Jazeera English.

''The dirty Pakistani intelligence agencies, for the sake of creating mistrust and hatred
among people against the Taliban, are carrying out blasts at places like the Islamic
university, Islamabad, and the Khyber bazaar, Peshawar,'' the Associated Press quoted
Tariq as saying.

Despite repeated denials, the CIA has now confirmed that US security contractor Xe
Services, formerly known as Blackwater, has been operating in Pakistan. CIA spokesman
George little said that agency Director Leon Panetta has terminated a contract with Xe
services that allowed the company’s employees to load bombs on CIA drones at secret
airfields in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Unfortunately our leaders or politicians are using blackwater for their own purposes.
They don’t think about the peoples. The main purposes of our leaders are just to grab the
money and more power. There is thousands of Americans army and hundreds of humvee
has entered in

Pakistan. How they entered? Our leaders allowed them to com in Pakistan. They are
completing our mission without any interference. If any member of Blackwater is caught
by security officers he do not give documents for checking and after sometime he set free
due to the order of higher authorities. What is this? Nothing but the result of poor
leadership or cheap leadership. Pakistan is selling and destroying by some cheap
politicians those politicians who say we are the leaders. Alas! They are not but cheap
people who sell themselves for money and little benefits. Even they don’t know that how
much life they have left.

RAWALPINDI: Suspected Taliban militants wearing army uniforms attacked the
Pakistani army’s headquarters on Saturday, killing six soldiers and triggering a
battle in which four gunmen died, military officials said.

The brazen attack on the tightly-guarded headquarters in the city of Rawalpindi came as
the military is preparing a major offensive against the militants in their northwestern
stronghold on the Afghan border.

The gunmen drove in a white van with military license plates to a main gate of the
complex before opening fire and throwing a grenade when challenged by soldiers. The
gunmen then exchanged fire with troops for about 40 minutes.

Islamabad Marriott Bombing: September 20, 2008

• At approximately 2000 local time, a dump truck rammed the security gate at the
Marriott, Islamabad
• While stopped at the gate, the driver exploded a suicide vest, lighting the truck on
• Mortars, other explosives cook off for approximately three minutes, while
security organizes and attempts to stop fire
• Minutes later, the main explosive of about 600kg of RDX and TNT, combined
with an aluminum powder to accelerate the flame

The blast occurred hours after Pakistan’s new president Asif Ali Zardari told parliament
the country will continue its fight against terrorism and extremism.

The explosion occurred a few hundred yards from the prime minister’s house, where
high-level government officials were dining after the president’s address to parliament.

That dinner was moved from the Marriott at the last moment, but there is no indication
Pakistani authorities were aware of the attack. The attack occurred during peak dinner
time hours when the hotel is typically crowed. Patrons included Muslims breaking the
Ramadan fast. Indian High Commission was scheduled to host a Republic Day function
later in the evening. In addition to coinciding with ongoing violence in the tribal areas,
this attack follows an unprecedented rise in attacks in Pakistan’s urban areas.

Timeline of Major Attacks in 2008

• January 10: Suicide bomber outside court in Lahore detonates explosive vest - 16
police and three bystanders dead.
• February 9: An explosion at an election rally in northwestern Pakistan leaves 25
people dead. The attack is believed to be targeting members of the secular ANP
party, the leader of which was assassinated two days earlier.

bomber blew himself up in Mingora in Swat District during the funeral of a senior
police officer.

Why Terrorist Succeed?

The problem is just that they think that they are one and that is true. When they think
about blast, they do it within no time before they think of wastage of time. But if we look
our leader on the other hand, they just think and plan and that takes too much time. That
then becomes very bad for them as some decision needs to be taken very quickly. I would
like to give the example that would I think explain what I want to say. Suppose you want
to go for robbery. When you go outside, you will find the people who are engaged in this
thing very easily as they always think about their self interest. At the same time, when
you go for any good work, no body is going to help you. Same is the case with the
terrorists. They go for bad things and they are given aids from different sources. Like in
Pakistan, people think that Taliban are funded by USA and India. USA and India have

self interest in destabilize the economy of Pakistan. Just think for while that on every
bomb blast, Pakistani leaders say like soon we’ll catch the person. But the people of
Pakistan are looking for those person and they don’t know about how they were treated?
People of Pakistan has now the perception that behind any terrorist activity, there’s a
hand of Pakistan also as they are also being funded by the US government.

Just wait and think for a while about Iran. US tried very hard to threaten Iran and put
blames on it but Iran still says that come and talks to me directly on my face. The prime
minister of Iran, Mr. Ahmedi Nejad once clearly said in the United Nation that USA is
the biggest terrorist of the world. If USA gets out from Afghanistan and Iraq, there could
be higher probability of peace in this world.

I would like to refer the statement of Iranian Officials about the US and Britian as a
terrorist of the world.

Now we would like to talk about leaders in Pakistan. There are three major political
parties in Pakistan. One of them is Pakistan People Party and the other one is Muslim
League Nawaz Group and in the last there is Muslim League Quaid-E-Azam.

The leaders are as followed:

1. Asif Ali Zardari
2. Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif
3. Choudhary Shujat Hussain
There is a political statement that every leader gives is that we are against the terrorism
and we’ll soon get those extremists and terrorist in front of you. But till the today’s date,
we don’t know any of terrorist or extremist that they bring in front of the general public.
Mr. Asif Ali Zardari recently signed the Karry Loger Bill in which Black Water is
allowed to enter in Pakistan and no one has right to take any legal action against them.
this is what our Leader (in your eyes) is doing with the country and he gave the new gift
to the Pakistani nation. If we talk about our PML-N leader, he is very enthusiastic about
the issues of Pakistan but just in words. No any leaders of Pakistan do the practical work.
They are all good for nothing and work for their self interest as you have seen the list of
NRO. There is always a very close relationship of leadership with terrorism. If the
leadership is strong then obviously it would help terrorism to stop. If leaders are
charismatic who work for self interest, they are more harmful than any kind of terrorist.
Leaders should be transformational as it helps to minimize the security of people and
economy risks.

Conclusion & Recommendations

The conclusion is that terrorism is the results of poor and cheap leadership. Leaders are
going to destroy the nations for some benefits and taking revenges.

The only recommendation for stopping the terrorism is that leaders must know about their
roles and try to solve the problems with dialogues not with weapons because weapons
create distractions not peace.
