TAYLOR KNOX AND PAUL HINIKER RELEASE SURFFIT EXERCISE SYSTEM

20-Minute Exercise System Provides Faster and Better Results than
Traditional Programs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, SAN DIEGO JANUARY 17, 2014 Taylor Knox and
Paul Hiniker today announced the availability of SURFfit, the total body premiere
exercise system that provides faster and better results than more traditional
cardio and strength training programs. SURFfit, available in DVD and video
formats, was developed over a 20-year collaboration between Paul Hiniker,
expert Olympian trainer and Taylor Knox, professional surfer. SURFfit can be
used by almost anyone to help them reach the best health of their life, according
to Paul Hiniker.

SURFfit utilizes FIT: Functional Integrated Training, Hiniker continued. The

strengthening and stabilizing exercises trigger multiple muscle groups to move in
a various range of motions. The workout progression balances the body along all
three planes of motion: sagittal, coronal, and transverse, resulting in increased
strength, power, agility, endurance, flexibility and balance.

SURFfit enables a professional workout from home, office, hotel room, the beach,
a park, or anywhere. The series of exercises is designed to stimulate and stretch
muscles through movements that stabilize and strengthen the core. SURFfit is

designed to get the body into peak physical condition with a series of no/lowimpact exercises that, when followed in sequence, give the body a full workout in
the least amount of time possible.

Most exercise videos work only one muscle group at a time, said Taylor Knox.
SURFfit activates multiple muscle groups in each exercise that help sculpt
powerful lean muscle and boost metabolism. The movements are designed to
help lose weight, improve balance, increase stamina, and tone the body. By using
body weight as resistance, the exercises improve joint mobility and posture to
help achieve the toned and powerful body of a professional surfer.

One 20-minute SURFfit workout exercises over 15 muscles including the core,
deltoids, quadriceps, outer thighs, inner thighs, hip flexors, back, pectorals,
hamstrings, glutes, biceps, triceps, hips, rhomboids, rear shoulders, and lower
back.

There are no repetitive, pounding, ballistic movements seen in other exercises

that can shut muscles down and lead to injury. Instead, the SURFfit method
switches on muscles by stretching them and applying gentle stress. The
progressions utilize instability to challenge balance, stabilization, and control
leaving a strong, stretched and streamlined result.

Designed for today's hectic work and travel schedule, SURFfit can be used by
almost anyone, almost anywhere. SURFfit isnt just for surfers and pro athletes.
Anyone who wants to be in the best shape of their life can use these training
techniques to help them achieve the best fitness of their life. With only an
exercise ball and some determination, train like the pros.

Taylor Knox was born on May 15, 1971 in Thousand Oaks, CA and began surfing at
the age of 8. His family moved to Carlsbad, CA when Taylor was 13, where he still
surfs today and currently makes his home. Taylor knew at an early age he would
need to train outside the water as much as inside it in order to get his body into
pro-athlete condition. At the age of 15, his dreams of becoming a pro surfer were
almost derailed when he found out that he needed major back surgery to correct
a damaged vertebra sustained from a skateboard accident. I had three fused
vertebra, a couple steel rods, and some screws. It was like an erector set in
there. After spending 6 months in a cocoon-like cast and being told by his
doctors he may never surf again, Taylor began the road to recovery through his
hard work, determinism, and never ending desire to improve. After 20 years on
the ASP World Tour as a professional surfer, SURFfit is a testament to Taylors
working hard AND working smart.

Paul Hiniker was born in Carlsbad, CA and gravitated to sports at an early age,
winning his first skateboard competition in 1976. Pauls love of action sports
continued to grow to include surfing and snowboarding; when in 1986, he
decided to pursue a career in the sports he loves as a certified personal trainer.
Pauls areas of expertise include sports-specific strength and conditioning,
postural deviation, and balancing the muscular skeletal system.
His roster of clients is truly impressive and includes pro athletes and Olympians
from various sports such as Taylor Knox, Danny Way, Gretchen Bleiler, Elena
Hight, Ricky Whitlock, Seamus OConnor, Matt Ladley, Mads Jonsson, Eric Jackson,
JJ Thomas, and many others.
Pauls commitment to being on the cutting edge of the exercise sciences is
exemplified by his membership in the American Council on Exercise (ACE),
International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Strength and
Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the National Academy of Sports Medicine
(NASM). In addition, Paul created the national certification for SUP (Stand Up
Paddleboard).

Pauls exercise philosophy has been featured in Mens Health, Mens Fitness,
Shape, Transworld Surf, Paddleboard Magazine, Snowboarder Magazine,
Transworld Snow, and Oxygen.
