DDB New York Boosts Lineup With Focus On Content And Innovation

DDB New York, part of Omnicom Group, today announced the appointment of three
new senior hires who will specifically focus on the agency’s content and innovation.
Hannah Fishman joins as Group Creative Director/Content Director, Yael Cesarkas as
Planning Director and Joel Nagy as Director of Digital Innovation. These key new hires
are part of an overhaul of the agency as it looks to transform its services and
capabilities under the new leadership team of CEO Chris Brown and Icaro Doria, who
will serve as Chief Creative Officer beginning in March.
Brown commented, “I am really excited about Hannah, Yael and Joel joining us. It is
an exciting time at DDB New York. Our mission is to ‘blaze new trails’ and a key part
of that is bringing new and diverse skill sets into the agency. We are committed to

delivering outstanding creative outcomes for our clients.”

Fishman brings 12 years of creative leadership to DDB New York. Prior to her role as
Group Creative Director/Content Director, she spent seven years as Vice President
and Creative Director at Edelman, where she led digital creative on brands including
Samsung, Dove, AXE, American Heart Association and Pfizer. Before that, Fishman
was Senior Design and Creative Lead at Everyday Health. She also spent time as
Interactive Group Designer at Borders Group and was a Design Consultant for ePrize.

Yael Cesarkas, Planning Director
As Planning Director, Cesarkas will work closely with DDB New York’s ExxonMobil
team to enhance strategic capabilities across North America. Previously, Cesarkas
served as an Associate Planning Director at R/GA, where she led multi-disciplinary
teams to generate disruptive yet elegant programs for clients such as L’Oreal,
Tiffany, MasterCard and Ameriprise. Before R/GA, she served as a Senior Brand
Planner at Y&R and worked with blue-chip brands such as Office Depot, Campbell’s,
Pfizer, Bayer and Xerox. Over the course of her career, Cesarkas’s work has been
recognized by The Webby Awards and Cannes Lions. She is also the recipient of
WPP’s award for strategic excellence and leadership.
Joel Nagy, Director of Digital Innovation
Nagy brings to DDB more than 15 years of hands-on development experience
building Web-based platforms. In his new role, Nagy will be responsible for the
development of digital solutions for the agency’s range of clients including United

States Tennis Association (USTA), Playskool, Smithsonian’s National Zoo and
Conservation Biology Institute, Breyers, Electrolux, State Farm, Merck and more.
Before DDB New York, Nagy served as Technical Director at Iris Worldwide and
oversaw the digital development team in New York. He has built applications for
clients like Sony Pictures, Barclaycard, Reckitt Benckiser, Nautica, Microsoft, Saks
Fifth Avenue, HomeGoods, BMW USA and others. Before Iris Worldwide, he was
Director of Digital Technology at Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners. Nagy’s
creative innovations have been recognized by the Webby Awards, The Web Marketing
Association, Facebook Studio Awards, Digiday and MediaPost (OMMA).
