Section 1: Background Information

Branko Radicevic Primary school was established in 1955. March 28 is determined to be the school day
because our great poet Branko Radicevic was born. The school was first located in Zeleznicka Street 31,
but in 1932 the school has been moved in Brace Mihajlovic Tripic Street where it still is. In 2009 the
school gym was builted, as well as one object more where the new cabinets, library and offices are.
The school is located in the suburban settlement Batajnica in the municipality of Zemun, Belgrade.
Batajnica is the area that is still being built. There are mainly family houses and smaller buildings. Our
students parents have mostly secondary school qualifications and they have middle incomes.
Our school has 46 classes (25 from first to fourth grade and 21 from fifth to eight grades). At the end of
the first semester in 2014/2015 there were 1257 students (618 girls and 639 boys). There are 74 teachers
(64 of them are women).
The parents of our students like our school because we have groups of preschoolers. They have their
space within our school. Also, the extended stay is very attractive for the employed and single parents.
They have the whole day care for their children. The extended stay is a form of entrepreneurship which
affects the rating of our school.
The members of our core team are:
1) Gordana Mareti, the principal of our school
2) Aleksandar Todosijevi, History teacher, coordinator
3) Marija uri, assistant director, Geography teacher
4) Vesna ivanovi, psychologist
5) Marta Ili, English teacher

Section Two: Activities and Progress

During the first semester in 2014/2015, we conducted a series of activities that we anticipated in the
action plan for school entrepreneurship:

1) In August and September 2014, we conducted series of different steps within the preparatory stage
of entrepreneurial learning. We had two meetings with the members of our mentor school Veselin
Maslesa. We prepared the documentation; we assigned roles and started the preparation of the action
plan. We met the members of the Teachers council with the basics of the development of the
entrepreneurial learning program. We made a survey with the employees within the pilot project.
2) Within the event Belgrade Heritage Days we organized the workshop Glagoljenje. The participants
were from the seventh grades, classes VII1 and VII5. The workshop was at the Ivo Andric museum
in September 27, 2014.

3) In October 2014, Childrens week was held in our school (from 6 to October 10). The program logo
was Every kid with the happy face is taken care of by one family. The following activities were
held: Ecological Day, when we were collecting the old paper and when we had the exhibition of
artistic and literary works; Artistic Day, celebrated with the performance of the ballet studio Luis
Davico and with our school choir; Book Day, when we collected books for our library; Humanity
Day, when we collected the clothes for the homeless children; and for Sports Day we organized
inter-municipal tournaments in football and volleyball.

4) The members of the Geography section visited the house of Jovan Cvijic, the most famous
Serbian geographer in October 24, 2014. We organized the workshop What is this for and
it may function.

5) Our school teachers were on the basic training in entrepreneurial learning in November 2,
2014. Teachers were at the seminar Innovative strengthen of the competencies of teachers
and associates with the aim of strengthen the students entrepreneurial competencies. It
was organized by Veselin Maslesa primary school that is our mentor in this project.
6) Our students have participated in the competition that had been organized by Incest trauma
center on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. The competition was in
December 5, 2014, in Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade, Bircaninova Street
21.
7) Regarding the Erste bank competition, our student designed the story through their
paintings and show that they are capable of realizing the entrepreneurial idea. They took the
second place on the competition.
8) Before the end of the first semester the Science festival had been held. Within the natural
and social sciences students presented the specifics of each subject (Geography, History,
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology). They managed to attract attention of the
other students with their experiments.
9) Iskon association, with the financial support of Secretariat for Sports and Youth of
Belgrade, held free workshops in decoupage in January (from 12 to 16 January). Workshops
were in the school library. They worked in groups of 20 students and teachers.

We presented the main part of all activities that had been held in the previous semester during the
pilot phase of school entrepreneurship. All the activities in school, as well as the others that are
within the entrepreneurial project are on our website where we have the separate category dedicated
to entrepreneurship.

The greatest benefits of this project are the possibility to form and train students for entrepreneurial
lifelong learning, sustainable development and green thinking. We want to promote creativity,
innovation, the individual development of the students, initiative, teambuilding, leadership
development, the possibility of influence on career (professional orientation) etc.
We have not encountered serious obstacles and we have not found any shortcomings during the
previous pilot phase of this project.

Section Three: Issues and Challenges

The biggest problem occurred in the beginning of the project. We did not know where to start and
how to make the first steps in the project realization. The team from our mentor school help us a lot
with the documentation preparation and definition of that first steps. We managed to exceed those
problems in our meetings during September and October. We are still constantly communicating
with each other.

Section Four: Collaboration and Support

The contact with the SEECEL staff is more than satisfactory. All the tasks and aims are clearly
defined. When we had some questions, they answered us almost immediately. We have not
established contact beyond the SEECEL entrepreneurial network. All activities that we realized
within the entrepreneurial project as well as the other activities are on our website.

Section Five: Conclusions

In the upcoming period we have the implementation of the project within the experimental classes.
We prepared the plan carefully in our action plan. But the support of our mentor team will be very
welcome.
In case of action plan, everything is going very well. There will not be any great change.
