Contract Review


  • 1.1 Review tender contract, and update checklist template in the system.

1.2 Co-ordinate feedback session with Estimator and Commercial Manager/AVP Contracts regarding key legal contract

ramification & issues concerning company.

1.3 As necessary liaise with Company Lawyer, for clarification and direction about legal aspects and liabilities.

1.4 As necessary prepare correspondence requesting Client to provide amendments to the original contract.

1.5 Liaise with Client, Estimator and Commercial Manager for obtaining agreement and contract sign off.

Contract Administration

2.1 Prepare the summary matrix of contract clauses in the system.

2.2 Prepare the contract templates based on the contract.

2.3 In conjunction with Project Manager review contractual obligations and contract templates.

2.4 Attend weekly site meetings providing advice re: NOD’s, EOT’s, Sub contracts, and or Supplier

Agreements required for the job.

2.5 In conjunction with Project Manager prepare and forward relevant notices within nominated timeframes.

2.6 Maintain and update NOD and EOT register

2.7 Notify client formally where issues/ special circumstances or breaches of contract have taken place.

2.8 Liaise with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal, i.e. workers compensation.

2.9 Prepare contracts, for suppliers and subcontractors, highlighting relevant issues specific to the job.

2.10 Notify subcontractors formally if issues or special circumstances and or where breaches of contract take place.

2.11 Update and maintain contract register highlighting payment conditions.

Claim Investigations / Special Projects

3.1 Investigate unpaid claims by client to establish responsibility based on contract provisions or onsite errors.

3.2 In conjunction with senior management determine and agree relevant course of action for unpaid claims, advising client

as directed by Management Team.

3.3 Finalize claim / investigation and update information in the system.

3.4 Investigate invoices for damage by others and establish whether the Company is liable for the damages.

3.5 Provide response to invoices for damage and follow up and finalize claim.

3.6 Assist and work with Senior Management on special projects.

Systems Support

4.1 Prepare instructions/procedures and enter into system.

4.3 Keep procedures and work instructions consistent with changes to workflow.

4.4 In-conjunction with Estimator, regularly review procedures/work instructions etc. for currency and relevance.

4.5 Stay informed and up to date with any changes relating to Laws Standards/Regulations, Applicable legislations and

Cross Functional Support / Training

5.1 Be prepared to assist other Company Personnel as required/requested.

5.2 As required/requested, be prepared to carry out other duties and responsibilities. 5.3 As required, become involved in “on the job training” of others. 5.4 Participate in any other relevant/appropriate training programs as requested by the company.
