fail, with the exception of fights that you cannot run from.
|
|
|
| Detect: Allows you to see what items you can steal from an enemy. The
|
|
hardest to steal items are listed first.
|
|
|
| What's That!? (2 MP): If successful, it causes the enemy to turn around, |
|
allowing you to hit them from behind. Not very useful in my opinion. |
|
|
| Soul Blade (6 MP): Attacks with your weapon's status effect.. Similar to |
|
the Add Status ability, but for a single attack.
|
|
|
| Annoy (4 MP): Causes the status ailment 'Trouble'. I do not fully
|
|
understand Trouble myself, but it is supposed to involve sharing
|
|
damage dealt to the troubled creature with other ceatures..
|
|
|
| Sacrifice (32 MP): Very interesting ability. It reduces Zidane's HP and |
|
MP both to 0. The HP and MP that were lost are then split among your |
|
other party members. It doesn't revive or cure any status ailments. |
|
|
| Lucky Seven (6 MP): Seems to do either 1, 7, 77, 777, or 7777 damage.. I |
|
can't find any way to influence it - it seems to be pure luck.
|
|
|
| Thievery (8 MP): 'Deals physical damage to the target.' This damage is
|
|
based on Zidane's speed and the number of items you have stolen. It |
|
ignores defense, causing it to always do the same damage, and can be |
|
easily pushed up to dealing 9,999 by stealing many many times.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Auto-Reflect (15 MP): Self explainatory; keeps you reflecting spells.

| Auto-Float (6 MP): Self explainatory; keeps you floating.
|
|
|
| Auto-Haste (9 MP): Self explainatory; keeps you hastened.
|
|
|
| Auto-Regen (10 MP): Self explainatory; keeps you regenerating.
|
|
|
| Auto-Life (12 MP): Causes the character to start combat with the Auto-Life |
|
status.. If a character with this status dies, they lose the status |
|
and come back to life with 1 HP.
|
|
|
| HP+20% (8 MP): Self explainatory; raises your Max HP by 20%, up to 9,999. |
|
|
| Accuracy+ (2 MP): This raises your physical attack accuracy, which helps |
|
prevent your missing the enemy when performing a regular attack.
|
|
|
| Distract (5 MP): 'Lowers enemy's physical attack accuracy.' Enemies
|
|
attacking this character are more likely to miss with this equipped. |
|
|
| Long Reach (16 MP): Allows you to deal the same amount of damage attacking |
|
from the back row as in the front row. When in the back row, a
|
|
character normally does 1/2 damage attacking and receives 1/2 damage |
|
from all physical attacks.
|
|
|
| MP Attack (5 MP): Regular attacks consume some MP and cause extra damage. |
|
|
| Bird Killer (3 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to flying enemies. |

Bug Killer (2 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to bug type enemies. |

Stone Killer (4 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to stone enemies. |
|
Undead Killer (2 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to undead enemies. |
|
Devil Killer (2 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to demons.
|
|
Beast Killer (4 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to enemies that are |
classified as 'beasts'.
|
|
Man Eater (2 MP): Regular attacks deal extra damage to humans.. Why isn't |
it called Man Killer to fit in with the others?
|
|
Master Thief (5 MP): Gives you a greater chance of stealing the more rare |
items first, rather than last..
|
|
Steal Gil (5 MP): Presumably causes you to steal gil along with items.. I |
haven't verified this yet, but that's what it's supposed to do...
|
|
Add Status (3 MP): Adds your equipped weapon's status effect (if any) when |
you perform a regular attack.
|
|
Gamble Defense (1 MP): In-game help says 'Raises Defense occasionally.'
|
|
High Tide (8 MP): Damage dealt to you fills up your Trance bar faster.
|
|
Counter (8 MP): Allows you to counterattack.. The counterattack rate is |
based on your Spirit and the Eye 4 Eye ability.
|
|
Protect Girls (4 MP): Allows you to cover female party members, taking
|
damage instead of them with certain attacks.
|
|
Eye 4 Eye (5 MP): Raises your counterattack rate - MUST use Counter also. |
|
Body Temp (4 MP): 'Prevents Freeze and Heat.' Useful, as both can result |
in instant death, and are used by several different bosses..
|
|
Alert (4 MP): 'Prevents back attacks.' I'm not sure if this is 100%..
|
|
Level Up (7 MP): When this is equipped, all experience this character gets |
will be raised by about 50%.
|
|
Ability Up (3 MP): When this is equipped, this character gets double AP. |
|
Flee-Gil (3 MP): Allows you to receive Gil even when running from battle.. |
|
Insomniac (5 MP): 'Prevents Sleep.'
|
|
Antibody (4 MP): 'Prevents Poison and Venom.'
|
|
Bright Eyes (4 MP): 'Prevents Darkness.'
|
|
Restore HP (8 MP): Causes you to regain HP when you're 'Near Death', or
|
rather when your HP in in the yellow area.
|
|
Jelly (4 MP): 'Prevents Petrify and Gradual Petrify.'
|
|
Auto-Potion (3 MP): Whenever you receive damage, you automatically use a |

potion.. It will use the lowest type of potion you have first.
|
|
|
| Locomotion (4 MP): 'Prevents Stop.'
|
|
|
| Clear Headed (5 MP): 'Prevents Confusion.'
|
|
|
| Mug (3 MP): Causes you to deal minor damage to an enemy when you steal.
|
|
|
| Bandit (5 MP): 'Raises success rate of Steal.' A truly wonderful ability. |

| Reflect-Null (7 MP): With this, your magic cannot be reflected.

| Reflectx2 (17 MP): With this, Vivi's spell damage is doubled when a spell |
|
of his gets reflected. You can give someone Auto-Reflect and target |
|
them with a spell in order to have it reflected back at an enemy.
|
|
|
| Mag Elem Null (13 MP): ?????????
|
|
| Half MP (11 MP): This character's spells cost 1/2 their normal MP cost.
|
|
|
