Global Business Power achieves ISO 9001:2008


Quality Management System Certification
Global Business Power Corporation (GBP), the power generation arm of the Metrobank
Group of Companies, achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification after rigorous examination of its
business process by TUV Rheinland Philippines, an accredited third party auditing
organization.
ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system that supports strong
customer focus and continual process improvement. The ISO certification of GBPs
Corporate Office is an affirmation of its unwavering commitment towards service excellence
as it conforms to the most stringent international standards. Guided by the Companys
vision, GBP strives to be the leading and most efficient energy provider by continually
improving its plant operations, business processes and systems to achieve ultimate
customer satisfaction.
The Corporate Office of Global Business Power now joins the ranks of its ISO certified power
plants that are operated by Toledo Power Company, Cebu Energy Development
Corporation, Panay Power Corporation, Panay Energy Development Corporation and GBH
Power Resources, Inc.
Committed to provide adequate, reliable and cost efficient power supply, some of our
power plants facilities have been ISO 9001 certified as early as year 2000. With our
Corporate Office achieving the same recognition, our customers can expect consistent
quality service in every aspect of our operations. GBPs ISO certification also serves as our
foundation in bringing our growth plans to fruition. As we seek to enter new markets and
pursue expansion projects, continual improvement in our processes will enable us to
optimize operational efficiency and at the same time, allow flexibility to swiftly react to
market demands and opportunities, said GBP Executive Vice President Jaime T. Azurin. He
