TITLE OF THE PROJECT

“ A STUDY ON CREDIT MANAGEMENT IN THE BANGALORE CITY COOPERATIVE BANK LTD “

NEED FOR THE STUDY

 The basic purpose of the study “on credit management” exercise of “THE
BANGALORE CITY CO-OPERATIVE BANK LTD.” An empirical study is needed
to know how for the concepts & principles have been examined through finding
out the areas of their operational efficiency & the management quality taking into
consideration the performance parameters of the bank.

 Objectives Of The Study:

 To encourage thrift, self-help and co-operation among the members and
depositors of bank;
 To do banking business as defined in clause [b] of section 5 of the banking
Regulation Act, 1949 [as applicable to co-operative societies] and also
engage in such other business as is permitted under section 6 of the said
Act, on co-operative principles;
 To borrow or raise money;

profit and loss account. . The technique selected for the study includes graphs relating to the credit methodology. charitable institutions/trusts.    SCOPE OF THE STUDY: The scope of the study is limited to the data of THE BANGALORE COOPERATIVE BANK LIMITED . balance sheet etc.  To accept the deposits from the public. and approved by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies. To create funds to be utilized for promotion of members and Staff children’s Education. Subject to rules to be framed by the Board. and  To create funds to be utilized for members and staff welfare subject to rules to be framed by the board. and approved by the registrar of Co-operative Societies.  RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: For analysis of investment structure many methods are available such as comparative financial position of the bank. and other public institutions..

The data collected in two ways: a) Primary source. Employees and customers of the branch. o Primary data: Short interviews with the branch managers.  STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: o Comparative analysis: where one year figures are compared with another by taking figures. o Secondary data: Annual report. o Comprehensive analysis: where the total is taken as 100% & contribution are calculated.There are two sources to study the credit management as follows. Both primary & secondary data is collected. financial statement & records Reporting to the procedure of lending advances Prospectus of the bank and websites. . b) Secondary source.

LIMITATIONS OF STUDY:  The study is limited to only financial statement of 5 years. The studies constitute the both primary & secondary data collected from annual report & also by interacting with personal in the bank. The next step is data collection. o SOURCES OF DATA COLLECTION: Having identified & formulated a research problem & having determined the objectives of research.o Growth analysis: where the two years deposits are compared and figures are calculated.
