Point #1 I want the best education for my children

As a parent, I sought to have the best education for my children that can hearten
their mental and physical readiness to face the globally competitive world after schooling
years. The education must be able to help them acquire competitive qualities that are
needed for their own future. What I meant here is, even when we have to migrate, my
children can still cope with the standard of education received by the children in other parts
of the world.
Point #2 I do not want my children to be the lab rats over curriculum transformation
The curriculum transformation must be revised only by a team of experienced
educational researchers that can freely suggest their improvement without restriction by any
parties. Their research must be based on all aspects pertaining to the clients needs, the
stakeholders expectations and also based on a few successful models adopted in other
countries. It must not be implemented until it is fully rehearsed and accredited because I do
not want my children to be the lab rats in order to find the correct methods.
Point #3 Hire more experienced teachers with specific qualifications
I strongly believe education opens doors to facilitate equal opportunities, and is a
catalyst for change. From experience, I know how important it is to have experienced
teachers who believe in what they are doing, and can be role models and leaders who
motivate, inspire, challenge, celebrate, and give feedback, so my children can develop and
grow both academically and personally. Its great when a teacher sees each student as
unique regardless of background, and is able to create an environment for learning and
growth, enabling each student to reach their full potential. Education and knowledge are the
most powerful instruments we have to create a better future for our children.
Point #4 I want a proper and not an experimental assessment for my children
As we are now still in the earliest stage of the school based assessment, I believed
that teachers are still trying to experiment their assessment approach. Therefore, I want a
proper and standardized method of assessment for all the subjects taught in school.
Although the teachers knew their students well, but a guideline must be given with proper
courses for them to conduct a quality assessment to avoid them experimenting.

Point #1 I am getting better education

The Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education), expected to be launched
on March, will focus on important shifts to transform the education sector which promise to
provide worlds class standard of education. So that I dont need to further my studies
abroad if I can get same quality of education in my country. It definitely will help to save a lot
of education fee compare to overseas education.
Point #2 World class universities
The Malaysia Education Blueprint will also give more autonomy to universities, besides
providing them with more sustainable financial management. It is no doubt that with more
autonomy and financial support; it will bring in more quality students and lecturers which
create a better learning environment. I believe that with the better learning environment, it
allows me to persuade higher academic achievement in my university life.
Point #3 The facts which stand in front of the MEB
It is undeniable that through The Malaysia Education Blueprint, we are transforming our
education to meet the worlds class standard. But we have to realise that there are a lot
problems which slow down the transformation. Recently, I find out that the current education
system even cannot produce students meet the minimum in TMMS (Trends in International
Mathematics and Science Study) assessment. According to the result, not only did our
students performed poorly in higher level thinking, they had difficulties with basic knowledge.
The number of our students who performed below minimum in TIMMS assessment in all
three skills of reading, mathematics and sciences was more than double that of other OECD
(Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) courtiers. It is a very serious
problem. Although, there are problems in our education system but I believe that our
education development is in the right track and able to provide us one of best education in
the world.
