A key to Everyday Life, written by Douglas
Stutts, contains amazingly useful and
sensible advice to help people find spiritual
happiness and peace with God, with other

people, and with themselves. It seems

remarkable that Douglas, even before his
present age of only twenty-one, has
demonstrated such exceptional insight into
what the Christian faith is really about.
Throughout the book, Douglas makes
reference to Bible passages that support his
ideas and words of advice. It is apparent
that by being an exceptionally diligent
listener and a keen observer, Douglas has
learned a great deal about life. Douglas
frequently cites many of his own
experiences, and how he regards them as
integral factors on his road to carry out
Gods ministry. He urges his readers to love
and trust God with all their hearts, to stay
faithful, to persevere through adversities,
and to seek, then remain focused on Gods
plan for their lives. In addition, he advises
people to be willing to answer His call, and
to be honest with themselves and with God.
The importance of maintaining positive
attitudes, appreciating and taking advantage
of positive influences, as well as making the

best of negative events in ones life are also

discussed in the book. I find it very
interesting and appropriate the way Douglas
describes peoples lives as consisting of four
seasons, all of which play significant roles in
their lives. With this in mind, he again
reminds his readers to keep their focus on
God and depend on Him as they deal with
the ups and downs that come and go with
those seasons. As I was reading Keys to
Everyday Living, I enjoyed the way that
Douglas shared many of his personal
experiences and how they have been
relevant to him in his walk with God. I also
found his suggestions for making life
happier and more meaningful from the
Christian standpoint extremely worthwhile.
The excellent guidelines Douglas offers for
improving now speaks about in his book.
He listened carefully to instructions, was
dependable, and was willing to work hard at
doing his best. In addition, I remember his
being respectful, polite, and kind toward
others. I must also add that it was my

privilege to get to know Douglas immediate

family, and each time I met with or spoke
with his parents, it became obvious to me
that Douglas had a close and loving family
who embraced Christian values.

Introduction
I have been really working on a lot of stuff, it
seems that God is moving in a
way that I have never really felt or seen.
Recently I attended a service and
was given a word from the minister. Most
times I don't really take what just
Any "Minister" says to heart at all, but it
didn't really sink in till after service
On the way back to the house, it came to me
that two years earlier this same
Word was given to me by a total different
"Minister". This is a book full of
Information about life and how to find who
you are and defeat your enemy,
Let this book go in and stick to you. I pray
every word is read with an open heart and
mind to the things of God.

Chapter 1.
-Be

not ye therefore like unto them: for

your Father know what things ye have
need of, before ye ask him.

THE OUT BREAK

When a person has been fighting a battle

with depression or addiction it is SO hard to
really trust in God. When you are lonely or
you put yourself in a place to be lonely, you
will find that you are vulnerable to anything
and anyone, thats why it is so important to
stay, prayed up and keep the line of
communication open between you and God.
1. COMMUNICATION IS
EVERYTHING
I. No matter who you are, rather you are
a husband and wife or just dating always

keep your communications open so that you

both can get closer and better know one
another.
II. God wants to hear from you on a daily
basis, not just when you want...Money,
Help, and Blessings. When you are out
driveing strike up a conversation with Jesus,
let him know that he is or at least better be
your everything, he wants you to tell him
you love him, worship him.
2. GOD DOESN'T TAKE BACKSEAT
I. When you are going through life and all
the sudden you feel alone, just take time to
think... "Did I put God in the Back seat"? So
many times we get our blessing and within a
couple weeks are all down and sad. Trust
that God is in control and knows what you
have need of in your life.
3. THE GREAT ASSIMENT

I. When we trust In God to rule

our life we always seem to think that he
needs our help, the fact of the matter is he
is God and he doesnt need our help. Only
he knows what we have need of in our life.
(Matt 6:8 ...Be not ye therefore like
unto them: for your Father
knoweth what things ye have
need of, before ye ask him.
II. When Abraham brought his son to
be sacrificed he was trusting in God to send
the ram. But, with him not really knowing
anything he took him in faith, as they went
to worship and be sacrificed.

In Life God will ask you to sacrifice

something so precious to you just like
Abraham did with Isaac, when this time
comes always know that God will make the
way and provide everything. As they
approached the place where the sacrifice
would take place he told the boy to stay
with the donkey as the lad and I go up to
worship and come again (Genesis 22:5)

When God sees that you are truly

dedicated to him and his word he will
ALWAYS bless you when its all said and
done, just as he did with Abraham.
As Abraham brought the wood for the
burnt offering and laid it upon Isaac his
son and they went up just the two. At this
point it would be safe to say that Isaac was
wandering where the ram was, they had
fire and they had a knife.

See, we will come to a place where we

need a move of God and we are really
depending on God to provide no matter the
circumstances, If you have any children
then you can probably understand
Abrahams thoughts, his only son, his only
seed to carry his name through the
generations to come and he was about to
kill him..

As it was with all the promises of

God that Abraham knew he took the knife
in his hand and reared back to slay his only
son when the angel of the lord appeared
(Genesis 22:11) After the angel of the
lord spoke in (Genesis 22:13) we see how
God came through for Abraham and sent a
RAM!... God knows just what to do to get
your attention, he is the way maker he is
Jehovah God he makes the way when we
see walls, he makes a door through walls he
made a door for Moses right through the
red sea and not one child of God was killed
that day.

Chapter 2.
(Luke 16:13)" No servant can SERVE TWO
MASTERS: for either he will hate the one,
and love the other; or else he will hold to
the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot
serve God and mammon."

A WALK WITH JESUS

When we walk with Jesus we are going to
experience all kinds of different things. We
will lose friends and family because we turn
from our wicked ways(2 Chronicles
7:14) "If my people, which are called
by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my
face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will
heal their land."
When WE finally decide to truly turn from
our wicked ways and follow him full time
and stop just being a "Part-time Lover"

you will see such a great and dramatic

change in your life, you'll start seeing things
in a new light. We focus too much on the
hows and whens and ifs in life when we
really should be focused on God. Recognize
your problem but never dwell on it life is to
short, you can have your way God has made
us all free moral agents and responsible for
our own actions either serve him or Satan
(John 5:30) "I can of mine own SELF
do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my
judgment is just; because I seek not
mine own will, but the will of the
Father which hath sent me."
(Luke 16:13)" No servant can
SERVE TWO MASTERS: for either he

or else he will hold to the one, and
despise the other. Ye cannot serve
God and mammon."

To be a Christian is a choice that we choose,

to be a saved Christian is another story. Ive
met many people that said they were
Christians and be in bars and night clubs on
the weekends and never show evidence of
even knowing Jesus. We have too many of
these popcorn Christians that will pop in
Sunday and then you might see them again
on Easter or the church homecoming.

We need more Jobs in the church,

someone who will fight the fight of faith and
stick in there when all hell is raging against
you, when you are dealing with unpaid bills
and on the verge of losing your home and
your vehicle but most of all your mind, the
bible says to Be still and know that I am
God (Psalms 46:10)

It takes a sold out man or woman of

God to really stand in and endure the

afflictions of this world. My dear

grandmother is what I call a true saint,
through it all she has stood in the gap for
more years than anyone else I know, her
faith in God has strengthened over time and
her walk has increased through every fiery
dart and temptation, she has witnessed her
children saved and in church and her
grandchildren in the ministry, she has went
through a 55 year marriage and that has also
increased her faith.
I can remember the nights she would
stay up and I would hear her praying in her
living room as she read the Bible, to be
honest I dont know where I would be today
hadnt she prayed those nights.

I have two sisters who also are in

ministry; it is so awesome to have a family
that all five members are in ministry.

There were times when we all wanted

to give up and call it quits but we knew that
God had a purpose for our life and so we
hung in and clung to the cross with our
entire mite.

I remember a night I was driving

home about two in the morning and I was
praying and worshiping as tears flowed
down my face I began to weep harder almost
to the point to losing my breath, about that
time I see some lovely blue and red lights in
my rearview mirror, after getting my ticket
for a small license plate light being out I
began to think why me lord?
Little did I know that he was preparing me
for what was to come in the future I would
go on and be a mighty man of God.

(Luke 6:38)"Give, and it shall be given unto

you; good measure, pressed down, and
shaken together, and running over, shall
men give into your bosom. For with the
same measure that ye mete withal it shall
be measured to you again."

CHAPTER 3.
(Luke 6:37)"Judge not, and ye shall not be
judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be
condemned: forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven"

JUDGE AND BE JUDGED

We as people are so fast to push the blame
and even faster to say" Oh woe be unto me
everyone always judging me and
condemning me all the time oh what will I
ever do" here is the simple solution...
(Luke 6:37)"Judge not, and ye shall
not be judged: condemn not, and ye
shall not be condemned: forgive, and
ye shall be forgiven"

If you will stop judging and condemning

others then you wouldn't feel that way when
someone looks at you oddly.
The next big issue is, "Why do everyone give
me a cold shoulder and never give me a
simple smile?"
This next verse is widely used for giving
offerings and tithes but it can also be used in
this case
(Luke 6:38)"Give, and it shall be
given unto you; good measure,
pressed down, and shaken together,
and running over, shall men give into
your bosom. For with the same
measure that ye mete withal it shall
be measured to you again."
If you walk around with your nose in
the air and never smile at anyone, don't
expect others to treat you any differently,
sometimes its just a smile that you give
someone or a simple word of Hello, that

along will change someones life and day

when you work so hard to keep your
salvation and you feel a breakthrough
coming on Satan will throw tactics in your
way to make you stumble, but stand fast and
hold your ground, Believe your heavenly
Father and he'll come through for you every
time.
When I was just starting out and had
my first revival it was in a church that ran
about ten people on a good night, and I had
to try so hard not to judge because of the
area and reputation of this church. Well let
me back up a few weeks.

I had been praying that God would

open a door for me to work in my calling; I
told God that I wanted to work for him full
time and know that he really was God. He
woke me up one morning around three; he

told me to go pray, so I walked to my pond

and began to pray. First thanking him for
everything and every blessing then for every
open door. After thirty minutes of prayed he
told to call the pastor of this church in the
morning, after laughing and somewhat
questioning Gods decision I submitted and
called that morning around ten, the pastor
was out so his wife asked me to come over
that evening, when I got there I had be
careful not to judge the living conditions of
the pastor and his wife.

I knocked on the door and was

welcomed in, the pastors wife was full of
excitement and asked the pastor should I
tell him now or just wait? he said ok go
ahead she begin telling me how they have
prayed for God to send a man of God to
their house and if that happened then they
would know it was of God that sent him,
well, I was that man of God just so

happened. After we finished scheduling the

services we set it for a six night revival
unless God wanted it to go on then we will,
little did I know it but was about to enter the
biggest spiritual warfare of my life at that
time.
I invited my older cousin to come and
help out with services, this was on a
Wednesday we had our home church on
Sunday so that night after church we went
over to that church as the pastor let us and
gave us the key so we could pray. As my
cousin and I entered this dark empty old
smelling building we turned the lights on as
a wave of fear rushed over me, I have never
felt such demonic power as I did that night.
I told my cousin to get the oil and we would
pray over each room in this church.

As I started at one end and he started

at the other end met in the middle, I should

say this church could easily set over three

hundred people. As I began to move from
room to room God would show me different
stuff about this church and the ones in the
church it was a shocker and again I could
have easily judged these people and
condemned them but I would never do such
thing.

About midweek prior to revival the

pastor calls me and invited me to take the
Wednesday night service so I agreed that I
would, after service I would receive the
offering from the pastor he looked me with
somewhat sorrow eyes and said Bro Stutts
all we had was twenty dollars tonight in the
plate I just smiled and said pastor God will
supply as he always does so there is no
worries he looked relieved. On that Friday I
seen the deacon of the church in town and
he began telling me how I was wrong by
saying that I have been through hell and

back when I am just 19 almost twenty years

old.

I looked him right in his brown eyes

and said God knows my heart and when I
stand behind that pulpit Im putting my life
on the line, all your blood in on my hands I
smiled and said have a good day Ill be
expecting to see you Sunday morning and I
drove away. Again If I would have judged
him for judging me and if I would have
condemned him for condemning me I would
have probably made a face plant in the sand
so to speak.

After seven days of fasting and prayer

it was time to go to battle. The first night
was a challenge but the alter service was
great, I am about 59 145 lbs. well this guy

comes up for prayer he stood 68 about 280

lbs.
I looked up to speak to him I laid my
hand on his head and he dropped as if he
was hit on top of the head with a hammer,
from that night on it was great we seen God
heal deliver and set free. Oh yeah that
deacon who said I was wrong came to me
with tears streaming down his face
apologized, you see how good God is. I was
contacted later the next week and informed
that there were over 6 out of 10 healed.
Praise God!

Chapter 4.
Romans 8:28
For we know that all things work together
for the good to them that LOVE the LORD

Why are the churches dying?

We come to church and set on the pew, we'll
look around and say" Man I can remember
when."
At one time the pastors could be in full time
ministry without having a secular job. In
this day its like the pastor has to work two
jobs plus pastor a church. The church body
needs to stand up and hold the pastors up in
prayer, not all churches have thousands
going with a smile, even the smaller
churches loves Jesus just as much.
If pastors could really be in full time
ministry again then you would see the old
time revivals more and more and you would
see less churches closing their doors.

A church has body parts just like we

do, from a head and limbs to a heart.
If a church isnt operating with full body
function the part that isnt working then
becomes paralyzed. Pastor should be able to
devote his full time to prayer and
supplication without having to worry about
if the electricity or gas will be shut off.
Pastors have a very vital part, it is there job
to counsel and help his flock, still prepare a
message and still make time to visit that sick
and the shut ins. When a pastor has to cover
every body part in the church that shuts him
off from the outside people and he loses a
opportunity to witness to the lost, when you
have worship leaders in their place and
Sunday school teachers in their place and
ushers in their place youll see that
everything works in order.

Even the little jobs make such a

difference in the church, every part is seen
by God. We have allowed the spirit of (Cora)
which is rebellion into our churches. When
you get rebuked by the pastor just receive it
and give it to God, dont allow hate toward
him to rise up in you because when that
happens you will lose your glory and you
Began to create your foundation for you
next wall I preached that once and God
broke through that service and it was WOW
awesome outcome. Above all things tear
down every foundation dont allow one
small rebuke to ruin what God has in store
for you.
To keep the church alive...
When you give to God he will give back to
you (Luke 6:38) giving your tithes and
offerings are one the most important and
crucial points to ministry and your spiritual
life. In the flesh your tithes and offerings
cover the cost of the electric, gas, and water

bills also cover any other church need. As

soon as you give tithes (Malachi 3:10, 11)
God will rebuke the devourer and will make
your store house plentiful. Your giving not
only blesses you but you bless your church
as well. In every event in your life you will
have to give in order to receive you giving
a smile to receive one, you give your time
you get paid in return, you give in money
you will receive the same.

I believe that when you receive spiritual

blessings, and you have obtained the gifts
you will see more of an outcome in your
walk with God, no matter how much you
have in your bank account or pocket you will
be over flowing with life.
Prayer life in the church
We have to understand that God is in
control and no matter what the situation is.
I can remember when my father pastured a

church we would go and pray sometimes all

night and through that everything went well
until the holy spirit started making
conviction fall upon the people of the
church, it wasnt but a second before they
had our bags packed and us voted out, it was
a move that God had already ordained
(Romans 8:28)

When you pray God listens to you and

he will answer you regardless if it is yes or
no, set and listen to that voice and
remember just as Elijah in (1Kings 19:11)
when he was in the cave waiting on Gods
answer on what to do it wasnt through the
wind that broke the rocks or the
earthquakes or the loud noises or the fire,
God wasnt in any of that but in a small still
voice.

We have an issue with waiting on God.

We like to assume that God is in everything
that happens such as wind, fire, and
earthquake. I was talking to a friend of
mine and he was telling me how, this one
time he and his wife had a pastor call them
and invite them to Wyoming to preacher in
the church and he was just praying about it
at this moment, over time he felt that he had
his answer, he was out one day mowing his
lawn when a chip bag had blown over in his
area and got in the way of his mower so he
got off to pick it up and noticed that the
name on the bag was the same name of the
town where the church is in Wyoming, so
he packed him and his wife and son, gave
his new house away and took off to
Wyoming.
After being gone for over two years he
found himself working in a place that he
didnt really like in Arkansas, through this
he created an Ishmael. All he wanted was a

sign and thats just what he got and for two

years he fought. So you see, God isnt really
into signs he is in that still small voice.
When you abide in the almighty he will take
care of you in every way, he will deliver you
from the fowler noisome pestilent (Psalms
91:1-3)

A different time when peter was a

prisoner he had two guards there next to
him the Bible says that prayer was made
without ceasing, as he was there with
chains to hold him up, as the night was long
and probably drug out he dosed off and as
the angel of the lord came to him and smote
peter on the side when he arose the chains
fell (Acts 12:6-7)
Sometimes in order to get what we want we
have to pray without ceasing, through
prayer and supplications things always

happens. (John 15:7 If you abide in me, and

my words abide in you, you will ask what
you desire and it shall be done for you.)

Chapter 5.
YOU COME TO ME WITH SPEAR AND SWORD, I
COME TO YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD

(Samuel 17:45)
KNOW YOUR ENEMY
In the sport of boxing you must know who
you are going up against; one cant walk into
the boxing ring without knowing the moves
or routine. There are times when the boxers
will sit for hours at a time watching and
studying the other boxer to know where they
are weak and when to bob when you should
weave, understanding every tactic of the
other guy.

When you are facing the enemy and

the devil has you down and out it is always
great to know how to defeat him. Use the
word of God to bring Satan down. Study the
word Know the enemy and when he tries to

swing with a left duck and come up with a

right then go for the Knock out!

When the children of Israel went out

with Saul to go and see what this giant
wanted they suddenly were fearful, so it says
in the Bible that David had come there to
the camp and when he heard the giant
talking about His Jehovah God he got mad
and said who is this uncircumcised
philistine that he will defy the army of the
God? (Samuel YOU 17:26)

Saul tried to arm David with what

everyone else was wearing but David
couldnt wear that armor because he had not
yet tried it.
When David called this giant out,
goliath was rude and acting horrible to
Israelites, this didnt scare little David he

just kept right on going for him. As he

approached the huge giant he said you
come to me with sword and spear but I
come to you in the Name of the lord.
(Samuel 17:45)
So, you see David knew his adversary
and when he slung his rock he busted this
giant between the eyes, the way the helmet
was made that was the only place where it
would kill him. The next thing David did
was and is the most important part.
After it was all said and done and the giant
had been slain David took goliaths sword
and cut off his head. We need to take charge
of our lives and let the devil know that we
arent backing down, we know who he is and
the greater(Jesus) is in us (1 John 4:4)
The key is not to give up, when you are
faced with an opposition, stay in the race
and never throw in the towel, call your

problems out and say Greater is in me then

he that is in this world.
THE ADVANTEGE OF KNOWING
In the beginning when the Garden of Eden
was being made and created God made man
and woman, he made everything that was
too be made. When the serpent came and
spoke to eve she wasnt afraid because she
knew not of whom he was, when the serpent
spoke she spoke back to him and that is
when the slyness of Satan began to slip in
(Genesis 3:1-6) Though it seems like such a
small deed just simply eating from a tree,
but that wasnt what God had told them, he
gave strict orders to not eat from that tree
and at the moment when they ate they
welcomed sin into the world and man was
cursed and lived by the sweat of his face
Genesis 3:17-18 .

You see Eve thought she was doing

right and didnt understand her adversary in
life, so she and Adam fell that day. Always
know your opponent and there techniques,
in Boxing terms she should have bobbed
when she weaved.

When Sampson was laying his head in

the lap of Delilah he knew nothing about her
trying to kill him, he was so much in love
with her that he told her everything. (Judges
16:6) you see he was blind to her beauty and
how she kept him feeling good. She asked
him several times to tell her where his
strength came from, he would tell her one
thing and she would wait till he slept and
bind him, she was getting close to him so
she could trap him into something that she
wanted.
You see when the adversary starts in
he moves slowly and cunning so that no one

can recognize his works or tactics. When she

would seduce him she went after his goods,
when he would tell her each time she would
try to defeat him, each time he would
overcome, when she finely confronted him
and said (Judge 16:15) how can you love me
when you have lied to me three times, and
when it was all said and done and she
nagged at him told her that no razor can
touch my hair because thats where my
strength is (Judges 16:17),

He spend the rest of his days walking

in a circle pushing a grinding wheel until he
defeated the army one last time, when the
power from on high came upon him Judges
16:23-31. When he shook the pillars women,
children, and men all died that day. In the
close of this chapter I want to encourage you
to be on guard and always stand for what
you believe when it comes to Jesus.

Chapter 6.
Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ

TO BE HONEST
I was in the house one day looking
over some notes and I had my cup of coffee,
a knock came on the door, at first I was
skeptical about answering because of all the
crazy people here in Houston... I looked out
the peep hole and I see a Jehovah witness.
So I tip toe back to the couch to pretend I
wasn't home. Dont condemn me, you would
do the same!
As I began to think about it, it came to
me, We do this to God all the time, we

hear God knocking and all he wants us to do

is open the door and invite him in
(Revelation 3:20)Behold, I STAND
AT THE DOOR, and knock: if any
man hear my voice, and open the
door, I will come in to him, and will
sup with him, and he with me."
When we go through something in life and
have a falling out with God we think that he
is mad at us and holding huge hammer over
us just waiting to slam us. That isnt the case
at all, he is there wishing you would come to
him with open arms.

There are times we just need to speak

to him that is what he wants. I have seen
the behind the scenes of a great minister
who had a falling out and for twelve or
thirteen years. When it was all said and
done he found himself on his knees before
the throne weeping and pleading and today

he is back into ministry full time and

licensed.

So you see when we fall he is always

there to catch you. The bible says that we
have an advocate with the father, I thank
God for grace, I know, most of us if asked,
never sin and are little angels. Im here to
tell you without grace and mercy I would be
lost and undone. Before I really knew God
loved me I was about sixteen years old, I
would go and party all night then come
home and make a pot of coffee, turn the
television on and watch TBN, I thank God
for that network.

I would watch it in my drunk and

blurred vision until I sobered up enough to
back the preacher if he or she was really
getting into it, I thought about sending a
seed, but quickly forgot about it and got my

coffee! I said that to say this, if God wouldnt

have intervened I honestly dont know
where I would be. But we cant ride grace
like a magic carpet (Romans 6:1 what shall
we say then?

Shall we continue in sin, that grace

may abound
. We need to learn that God is there in
our high times and low times. Many times
we let our pride step in and take rein in our
lives and lose sight of God just as peter did
when he started out to Jesus and began to
sink, he lost faith and began to look at what
he had instead of where he was going. When
we get so tied up with our important life and
shut out Jesus then at that moment we lost
an opportunity to be blessed. At the moment
when you are on a verge of a break through
and you are up to your eyes in stuff, God
steps in and everything changes, while our

lives are on the mountain, at that moment

DO NOT think that youre so high that God
cant take you down.
You better praise him for your break
through. He deserves the glory and the
honor, He is God.
I can say, one of the oddest creatures that
God made is man. We as humans always
want a move of God and yet we dont want
to work and do what it takes to get that
move of God. We want healing and words of
wisdom and knowledge but we do not want
to fast and pray for it. As you know the flesh
goes against everything God stands for
(Romans 8:7) when we kill flesh well see
how God changes things as you will read in
the next chapter( How can you say you
love God when your heart lies) .When
you are faced with issues of life, fight the
fight and know that God is in control.

Do not be deceived, I knew this very

close friend of mine who also was in
ministry, but he faced certain problems is
the area of women. Most men go through
this and if you didnt God bless you! As he
went through life he would preach and the
power of God would fall, he always kept God
number one. One day he came to me and
said I need to talk, I said, what up man? As
we sat in on the couch he poured out
everything to me about how he was in love
and wanted to marry this girl.

At the same time he was talking to

another girl, both girls were in ministry but
he really loved the other girl and wanted to
marry her but he didnt want to hurt the
other one. My advice was for him to pray
and ask God to take the one that God wants
and keep her in his life, take the other girl

out of his life. He went on to marry one; the

one God wanted him to.

So you see the man of God faced something

and when he seen what he needed to do he
did it and God blessed. There are people
every day facing stuff just like my friend and
just like you may be facing but just know
that God is our strength and there for us to
help us and to console us, he makes the way
and brakes all foundries he moves
mountains and shakes foundations.
I can see where we as humans fall
when troubles come our way, but to stand
for Jesus is a big task. When we as man and
women of God walk into a secular job we
face people who arent saved and know
absolutely nothing about Jesus or his love
for them, because of our self- righteous ways
we have shut the secular out. I was in revival
in small town in Texas, when I ran into my

great uncle who had informed me that I was

going to hell! As I smiled and said please
explain Im listening, he went on to ask if I
watch television I answer yes sir, he said I
see you have your watch on and ring and
necklace on, I said yes sir I do I said but
you still havent said why Im going to hell
for he went on to say that because of those
things, they were keeping me from heaven.

I just smiled and just once explained

to him that Christ looks at the heart
(Romans 10:9); before I walked away I
shook his hand and told him I loved him
and Im praying for them. So you see, if I
had not been a saved man of God I would
have said this Jesus stuff isnt for me thats
why it is so important not to condemn but to
just witness to people. We arent Gods and
we cant judge as my uncle did me, he
judged me by my ring and necklace.

We have to be a light unto the world

that cannot be put out or shut off (Matt
5:14) if you dont carry the light then who
will? When was talking to Isaiah in Isaiah
6:1 God said whom shall I send, who will go
for us? And when Isaiah said Here am I;
send me at that moment everything
changed he was called out to carry the word,
God cleansed his lips and set him on his
way. You see all it takes is that one willing
vessel to go and carry the word. If you dont
remember anything else about this book
remember this God does not call the
qualified he qualifies the called and chosen
ones and he has already went ahead and
predestined your future for what HE wants
for your life(Romans 8:30)

when I look back I can see how my

whole life God has been preparing me for

my future, I know that Ive always been

called by God yet I ran for many years and
said there is no way that I put my family
through what I went through, from the holes
in the floors to not having food in the house,
having to beg or borrow just to make it by.

But little did I know at the time that I

was just being made into a man of God. I
would set in the dark and wander why our
electric was cut off as I watched the fire
dance in the old gas stove by the hall way
door knowing my father was a minister I felt
as though we had missed it. I can recall
when I was 9 years old I would set with my
cousins and read the word to them and try
to explain (Psalms 23) to them. As a young
kid God was using me to witness to them.
See every situation happens for a reason;
rather its good or bad. Always allow God
the time to show you what it is you need to
know about where you are. Understand that

God will not take you someplace and just

drop you off and leave you you are not just
baggage.

Its Important To Carry The Torch

The other day I was talking to my sister who
also is in minister about the passing of one
Gods of Generals, with a heavy heart I asked
her who will carry the torch when we lose
the last of the real Generals?
The end times General is here now, yet just
getting started or perhaps in ministry, all it
takes is a willing vessel and a chosen vessel.
When you start in with message to the
church you had better brought the mail so to
speak. A true man or woman of is hard to
find especially in todays times, we are so
tied up in what we are doing that we go and
preach get a check and leave not caring

anything about the souls of the people that

are dyeing and going to HELL! What has
gotten into these preachers that are in it for
the money? Lives are in the balance
weighing heaven or hell and all you can
think about is your pocket books.
The Last Generals...

When it is all said and done and the last of

the old Generals are gone we will be ready.
Understand, the adversary will try and stand
in the way but we have to keep driving
ourselves forward and keeping in the race so
that we as this generation of generals can
stand in gap and fast and pray and grow a
passion for the people as youll read in
chapter 7.

We have a hunger in our nation for an

outpouring of the spirit of God but we cant

find the ones who will carry the Gospel

(Matt 9:37). Some of you have been called,
you feel the calling on your life but you still
havent submitted just yet, but you better
take into consideration (Romans 11:29) the
call is without repentance. But when you
step into your call you better be ready,
prayed up and read up, above all dont get
fed up and quit.

WHEN YOUR HEART LIES

In todays churches and homes we

strive to carry the title of a Christian, we
do the same routine things...
Go to church and home, we get our small
little worship in church and praise in
church yet there are those who are so far
from God and yet they lie and tell God they
love him. How can we truly love God when
we cant even allow him in our home, lives
or our work life? (Mark 8:38) Whosoever
therefore shall BE ASHAMED OF ME and
of my words in this adulterous and sinful
generation; of him also shall the Son of

man be ashamed, when he cometh in the

glory of his Father with the holy angels.
We have given God enough lip service, its
time to drop the front, lose the mask, and
understand that God knows your heart.
When you say that you LOVE your
Wife/Husband the other knows it but cant
really see if youre truthful. When YOU tell
GOD that you LOVE him he knows if you
are telling the truth or not (you cant fool
God), with people love comes and goes,
because we search for someone who can
share our life with and who understands
us. GOD is here simply saying (Matthew
11:28)"Come unto me, all [ye] that labor
and are heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE
YOU REST.
So you see, Just Come to Him.
He Loves you More Than You'll Ever
Know.

Why have you lost your compassion?

1. You dont pray
2. You dont fast
3. Your heart is far from God that it
sickens him
Some may say those are harsh words,
but they are true words, we cant
please God when we playing hellish
games with the devil and trying to
mask them with a simple smile.
When it comes to souls Im serious
and passionate and will do what it
takes to pull one, yes just one out of
hells grip.
Christ showed compassion so many
times in the Bible, we associate
compassion with weakness; nothing
could be further from the truth. When
you show the love of God you will grab
the attention of others and they will

wander what happen to them I know

this Man who is a rough cut haggardly
and drove an old log truck for a living,
he would do his own thing and live a
sinful life.

His wife went church every time

the doors were open and tried to stay
in the presents of God as much as she
could. One night this man showed up
and he sat on the last pew, as he
watched the service take place a single
tear rolled down his rough leathery
skin and into his beard.
As the pastor made the alter call
people began to make their way up to
the front and kneel and pray. The
pastor noticing this kept on pushing
the issue of salvation, then the man
made his way up the side isle and fell
at the alter and broke!

His sinful ways were being

cleansed and purified. As he stood up
and lifted his hands to heaven I placed
my hand in the pit of his stomach and
began to really press in and pray for
him and figured why not get healed on
the same of his salvation! He began to
weep uncontrollably; it was the most
powerful move ever. Later I seen him
in town and he was so soft spoken, to
where before he was rough and loud
and raspy sounding.
You see, God took what
everyone else seen as a waste and used
it for the glory of God.
(Luke 7:36-48) talks about the time
when woman came to Christ and
anointed him and cried and washed
the feet of Christ with her tears, then
dried them with her hair. This was a
harlot off the street probably had

everything and every sign of a

homeless, dirty, disgusting, vile
specimen of human but Christ seen
her potential and in the (Luke 7:48
Wherefore I say unto thee Her
sins, which are many are
forgiven)
When Christ seen her he seen a
willing and broken vessel and had
compassion, as he forgave her. Youll
read several accounts where Christ
was full of compassion when he
healed, raised the dead ECT. We need
not lose the compassion for the lost
and broken. When I think about the
night I got saved for real! Save! It was
the best night ever. But up to that
point I was living a life of confusion
and deceit. Let me take you there so
you understand better.

I had a pastors wife who was

compassionate about her call and for
people. As I walked into the church on
a cloud of deceit and blinded by the
devil and a so called good friend of
mine at the time I just slipped in and
sat on the left back pew. The service
was great but I didnt feel compelled to
move, as the alter call took place I had
that tug but refused to go because I
thought why go and change when I
can live my life how I want to.
I sat there dazed out thinking
about my job and looking for a
girlfriend in the church which by the
way she wasnt there that night! As I
sat there this pastors wife came to me
and said Bud God is about to do
something in your life so fast the you
will have no choice but to come to
him I just smiled and hugged her
neck and played the role of religious

person, but how many knows that

when you have a praying woman of
God on the scenes things happen.
Getting back to my story,
I walked out that night with
heaviness and went home and slept
not knowing what lie ahead. The next
morning I got up around four thirty,
made coffee and my friend and I
went on our way to word which was
about an hour from the house. He had
been nagging almost the whole way to
drive, I repeatedly said NO! Until I
had enough and let him drive. As he
drove I slept and suddenly was
awakened by a Huge bus pushing My
beautiful white Dodge truck, he had
pushed us into the grassy median. I
quickly swapped sides with this
friend and pilled grass up for twenty
yards to get to the highway. I pull onto
the highway and jump out made and
very fleshly, to be greeted with pump

12gauge shotguns. At this point

salvation didnt seem half bad
especially when you have a shotgun in
your face.
Come to find out, out of all the
vehicles to pull out in front of he had
to choose a State prison bus! After
swapping insurance I hobbled my
poor truck to a store and got some
coffee and called in to report to my
boss, he said a wreck isnt any good
excuse so, not only did I lose my
truck , I lost my job and what salvation
I had left. My trucks damage was a
warped frame and the whole front was
just hanging by a thread. I went into a
depression for a about a week and it
was horrible, until the word came to
reminding me what the pastors wife
had said Bud God is about to do
something in your life so fast the you

will have no choice but to come to

him.

At that moment I went and

walked into the woods and prayed and
asked Christ into my life again. I called
my friend and they took me to church
that Thursday night, that night as the
pastor gave the alter call I think I was
the first one up there at that alter. I
cried snotted, lost my breath and
began to be purged, because one
Woman of God, one person showed
compassion and obeyed the Holy
Spirit.

To say one thing and live

something else.

We cant be in one day and out the

next, it is up to you! Do you want
change in your life; do you want
change in your family? You have to be
a full time man and woman of God.
The Bible says He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the spirit saith unto
the church (Rev.3:22)
You must have compassion on the
ones who are weak just as I was when
the pastors wife came to me. God sees
you and knows what you can do in life;
he is just waiting on you to fully
commit to him. He will give you
passion for him and compassion for
them that need it.

You Arent Too Big To Correct

When you enter into a call you have
to keep the one most horrible killer of
most ministries out of your life (Pride)
when that creeps into your life you
better find your prayer closet fast!
There is no room in the ministry for
prideful people, when you lose
compassion you have lost it all.

Never forget how you came to

meet your savior, who stepped out for
you? Who made that leap for you?
Who cried night after night for you?
But above all that my question is who
went to the cross and bore your sins,
giving you an opportunity for
forgiveness and purity, Jesus Christ!
And to think it all started when he
seen someone weak, he didnt shun
anyone, he loved them.

When you are being corrected by

God you will know it! When you make
a mistake your pastor will correct you,
you have to receive it and not wear the
cloak of feelings. Do you think when
Timothy was corrected by the apostle
Paul; timothy was all broken hearted
and saying things like woe unto me
Im such a failure? I dont think so;
you see it takes correction to build
character. If was young man doesnt
have correction he will find himself in
trouble and possibly in jail. I found at
an early age that I couldnt wear my
feelings on my shoulder, in order to
operate in ministry you have to learn
first to take correction and be
mentored.
I was mentored for two years by
my pastor and he taught me a lot
through the leading of the Holy Spirit

CHAPTER 8.
USING WORD TO PROMOTE
YOU RATHER THAN
DISCOURAGE
When you go through life, you often come

encounter with two kinds of people,

1. The ones who wants to promote you
2. The other is the ones who want to
smash you and ruin you.
When people speak to you with
negativity, take those words and turn
them for the good. NEVER allow them
to kill your vision, stay focused and
keep moving forward.
Allow what people mean for bad
to set you into promotion.
As a young child growing up we
never had much of anything, but we
had Love and our Jesus. My father

worked in the oil field and there was

not much money in that. I had this
uncle who would tell me that I would
never amount at a hill of beans and
will be broke all my life, his uncle was
and to my knowledge is still today
bitter for some reason. It seemed as
though at every family function he
made it a point to tell me several times
how I wouldnt make as anything, to
think thats bad enough his son caught
on and began doing the same thing.
Then on the other hand I had my
drunken uncles who drank all time,
this other uncle he would tell me that I
will be something and make it in life.
He was the kind of man who
knew God and yet he wanted it his
own way. I can recall one night I was
about twelve and he told my sister and
me to go to the roof because he
wanted to have bible study! So we get

there and he had his Bottle of hard

wine and bible and began telling us
about how the lemon tree was in the
Garden of Eden and how we shouldnt
pick from that tree, thinking back on it
I just laugh because I have Never read
anything about a lemon tree in the
garden!
How Can I Use Negative Words
people day about me?

When you are raised in the

environment of a (cant do) attitude
you will began to believe that you are
nothing and youll get comfortable in
your ignorance. When someone
especially family runs you down, that
alone should fuel your will power to
succeed. I thank God for my parents,
they have always encouraged me to do
what I felt and I was in the world and

not saved I know they would pray me.

When I heard from my uncle that I
couldnt do anything but just be broke
and live in that small town of Saratoga
Texas I absolutely refused to believe it
and stayed focused on what I set out
do which was prove him wrong.

It takes a real man or woman to chase your

dream and let God lead you the whole way.
We serve a merciful God who is always
there for us through it all. When little
David went up against that giant (1
Samuel 17:22-51) there were probably
skeptics there that were saying hey
man are you sure you want to face this
huge giant when reading this book of
Samuel youll see where even Goliath
mocked and said that it was an insult
that they would sent a boy to fight

David, that didnt hinder David he was
determined that he was going to slay
him.

Satans Plan to destroy you

The devil does NOT want you

succeed in life. His goal is to send
people into your life to tear you down
and cause you destruction and keep
you in the place that you are, weak and
vulnerable. Satan sends the ones into
your life to stop you or slow you way
down from your God assignment on
your life. God wants you to prosper
and be in health soul prospers. We
have got allow what people say to
move us onto the place of greatness.

You say why? Im just average,

NO you are called for a purpose and
time just as today. Right now you may
be facing trouble and issues but hang
in there because the Bible says that
weeping may endure for the night but
joy come in the morning(Palms 30:5)
for so long in my life I have lived my
this verse, it has moved me and helped
me battle through many downhill
roads. When I think of where I came
from I thank God that I stayed in the
race, Did I fall? You bet I did! Did I
regret that I fell yes! But again I thank
God that he was there to catch me
when I fell then and here now.
My uncle was being used by the
adversary and he had no idea about it,
he went on and on about how I would
never make it and I was a failure in life
but ultimately God turned that
around and set me on my feet and now
I am full time ministry and have

traveled the USA and other counties

God took a poverty born kid, with
nothing but Speech impediment and a
heart after God and the desire to live,
he took that and produced a mighty
man of God.
When you make your mind up that
you will see that God has always been there
with open arms. When God moves you from
that place to another place that is better, we
have to keep in the back of our mind where
we come from. We cant get so high that God
cant take us down to our level.

When you see the ones who told

you, You couldnt make it dont be
rude just say Thank you for all the
years you encouraged me and spoke
word that were meant to take me
down,

them in such amazement, and seat it
with a smile that always gets them. We
are children of the most high and the
devil knows it so he will try and stop
you.
Positive Influence
When we have positive friends
to uplift and stand with you in what
you do, it helps. Bring people into
your inner circle that will help you to
move forward not back into your old
ways, we have to keep at least one
friend with us at all times he is Jesus,
he will stick closer than a brother. I
cant stress it enough that you need a
positive influence in your life. The
devil wants nothing more than to
destroy what God has made, he sends
his demons and imps out to tear down
and destroy everything good about
you.

We as people, when we dont

understand something we get upset,
we have to know how things work
thats how we are wired. When the
devil sees you praying and getting into
Gods presents he gets nervous about
what is going on, he sends his imps to
distract you and cause confusion,
when he sees a fleshly person laying
hands on a sick person and they
recover he doesnt understand, that
power within you that God has place
inside makes the devil so very
nervous. When you are working
toward a goal or vision you have to
keep a positive attitude and keep God
number one in your life. When I was
just getting into music and production
I would press and press and kept God
first, my goal was to put out one
album within two years, but when my
deadline was here I had two albums
and half through third one. I stress to

For many are called but few are chosen

UNDERSTAND EACH SEASON

In our life we face different seasons,
Season One: Autumn the leaves turn
brown and the colors change as the season
changes, as the sap goes into the ground and
the winter begins.
Season two: as winter comes on, the trees
began to break away and hit the ground
then comes spring.
Season three: Spring is the time of new life

and new birth, birds are hatching and

flowers are blooming and trees are growing

UNDERSTAND YOUR SEASON!

In life we face different seasons, when the

autumn and winter comes we get week and
weary and life seems to be killing us. We
become venerable to things and often fall,
but when we lose precious stuff in our life
just as the tree loses limbs that fall from the
tree.
As we weather our storms in life and
see our (spring) approaching breakthrough,
through all the heartache and pain we come
out on the other side refreshed and revived.
In closing I want to encourage you to fight
through the storm and never give up.
God has us all in his hand and
through the storms he is there... with open
arms and a loving heart Jesus is saying
"Come my child I will give you rest,

In our life we go through seasons of

change, from a boy to man or a girl in a
woman. We face seasons for a reason, to
keep us on our toes and checked out with
everything remember God will not put you
through something you cant handle.

Everyone faces different seasons in their

life, but just like the four natural seasons
such as autumn , winter, spring and
summer.
So many times our season start in the
summer and we get dry and needing a feel
and a move of God in our lives,

I knew this lady who had lost her son and

mother in the same week. He son was about
thirty- five years old, and had died in a
house fire; her mother went on to be with
Jesus a few days before him. so you can
imagine how she felt, she was the only rock
in her family, but her sisters were great
women of God as was she but she felt as
though God did her wrong by leaving her
with thought of did my son make it to
heaven she was walking through a season
that God wanted her to stand as her rock
and on his word, and keep her mind on
Jesus, though tears were shed and hearts
broken, she almost lost her mind but she
knew where her strength came from.

We will go through a season of

drought and plenty we go through seasons
of joy and sadness, we dont understand it
but it happens all we can do is stay faithful
to Jesus and know that through it all he will

provide and sustain you in every way and

help you keep yourself. I went through a
season of depression as I mentioned earlier,
that was the darkest time in my life. I know
that you have probably faced far worse, but
for me that was the worse time of my life.

I see now what was happening to me,

I was being prepared for who I was going to
be in the future. God knew what he was
doing when he changed my life that week, it
was like he was saying come to me all ye
that are heavy laden and I will give you rest
(Matt 12:28). When a see that you are
getting weak while in a season all you have
to do is come to Jesus and let him wrap his
arms around us as we cry on his shoulder.

Men, dont be afraid to cry! For years its

been said that men shouldnt cry, Im here
to tell you, I will cry with you, laugh with
you, and pray with you. We have gotten
hard in our hearts and turned off our tender
Godly heart, not to say that we cant be men
but it helps to come to Jesus and ask him to
make you tender before him. Being tender
for Jesus doesnt change the rough cut
testosterone driven man it just makes him
more aware of Jesus and more
compassionate toward people.

Your Attitude Determines Your Outcome

When you face a season always have the

right attitude, if you start into a season mad
or flustered at your season you will lose out
on why you are in the season. You need to
stay focused! The devil would love nothing
more than to see you lose out on a blessing.

He operates through people, he will

send a family member in the room and they
will have a look about them that really
works your nerves and the devil hopes up on
your shoulder and asks what are you going
to do about it? at that moment refrain from
any words at all, stand up go to that
restroom or a room that is private and ask
God to strengthen you in that area.

Go through the seasons, understand

your seasons, recognize what you are facing
and always above all consult with God
before you make any hasty choices.

ALLOW JESUS TO USE YOU AND MOVE YOU
AND BRING THAT COMPASSION BACK!!

We have a purpose in life that requires

a certain amount of discipline, we cant go
through life and think that we can do
anything and everything and still carry out
our call.

Time is Discipline

We get tied up easily with our daily

schedule, so much that we lose track of what
God wants to do for us in our life.
After a long day of work we just want to
come home and relax, we want ME time.
When we get that hunger for God so
strongly that we cant sit still and just have
to move or like Jeremiah said like fire shut
up in your bones when we get to the point
that we cant be satisfied just setting around
passing time on the computer or television
or even cell phones. God wants the best for
your life and you have to give him your all in
all, your time your body and your mind.
When Paul was on his way to kill the
Christians he had a God encounter, where
he was knocked off his horse, dont ever
think that just because in your site youre

doing that means in Gods site you are. What

God has for you, you will work for and it
isnt an easy job to carry through with, the
fact of the matter is most fall short because
they lose what it takes to run the race and
they give up and go home with their tails
tucked.
Longevity

With everything in life, in order to keep in

the game you must have longevity in and
passion for what you are pursuing, rather it
is a business or career or ministry, a family
or just whatever the case is. Understand,
God will place a vision in you and then its
up to you, if indeed want to carry the
longevity out in your life.

Take Job for example, he had it all but

when it was taken from him he knew what
he had to do. Even when his wife had said
told him to curse God and die, he stayed in

the race. Sometimes we feel like our

longevity has turned into a short road and
we give up, the key is to run the race and
maintain course. In the Book of Job it talks
about all the issues Job faces and in the end
he get Double of everything back, what Im
saying is when you stay in the race God will
bless you and see you through it all.

Temptation on the road of longevity

When we are going down the road to

longevity we will find that temptation will
arise in us from time to time, DONT
WORRY! At the time of temptation keep
your focus and your eyes on Jesus. When
David saw Bathsheba bathing he was
tempted (Note: it is not sin to have thought,
the sin is acting on the thought quickly ask
God to heal and cleanse your thought and go
on) If you will notice that in the story is says

that when all of the mean were out to battle

he stayed back. When you are alone thats
when the devil works, unless you keep your
ears and heart tuned to God and his word.
(2 Samuel 11:1-6) when David seen her he
had to have her and because of this sin he
cause his son to die and her husband to die.
When will we learn that what is done in the
dark Will and shall be brought to light!

He wanted that longevity as the king

and ruler but this temptation took over and
ruined a small part of his life so to speak, he
lost his son, to any father who has kids you
can imagine the pain he felt, he had fasted
and prayed and nothing worked. He made
an Ishmael and because of that he lost his
son.

Fight for Freedom

In this day and age in which we live we have

a choice, either serve the lust of the flesh
which is Satan, or the walk in which your
eternal life will be determined by Jesus.
So many time children, mostly teens find
themselves wandering,
1. Am I loved?
2. Why doesnt my parents understand

The chains of addictions are the hardest to

break. Teens find themselves saying oh one
time wont hurt, It is fun but what about
that next time and the next?
The devil paints you such a beautiful

Two keys to breaking chains

1. Invite Christ into your heart
2. (Rom 10:9,10) simply confess your
sins to him and he will take them
never to be brought up again when
you so this you may still have the
addictions though. . Why? Oh glad
you asked.
2. When you invite Christ in you are
saved from hell. Now it is time to bring it all
to Jesus and lay it on him, all the hurt all
the pain he wants it all, hold nothing back
at all. You may have to have a burning, get
all your magazines, and what ever else is
holding you and burn it ensuring that you
will not go back to it.

How To Keep What God has Given

you
1. Know who your enemies and weapons
being used against you.
2. Make it a habit to talk to god daily,
wake up and tell God good morning all
through the day talk to God and tell
him everything and go to bed talking
to God.

You know, there is something about

talking to Jesus and having his presents
present all the time.
3. Rebuke the things that Satan tries to
bring up and quote Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh but after the spirit

Will God Ever leave me?

God loves you more than youll ever know.

Satan, stand close to Jesus in all you do

Why is imagination so bad?

Your imagination invites Satan into
your mind and to take over.
Stand firm and understand that God is the
only one who can help you;
After a service one night I went home and
changed my clothes about to relax and enjoy
the rest of the with a cup of coffee, I kept my
phone beside the front door on the table to

I received a texted and noticed that it

was a guy from the church I just left , the
text read What has God done for you? I

went off telling him everything! He then

began blasting MY JESUS! I didnt like this
at all. I quickly recognized that this was an
act of the enemy. After a while of him
texting me he began talking in third person,
this guy was known for being possessed by
demons, when the third person.

I shut him off and refused to text back

at all. Later i called the pastor and he
informed me that this has happened several
times that night. This is why I stress to you
GUARD YOUR MIND; take control of your
MIND and EMOTION.

As I read this book "Keys To Everyday Life" I

could see how much Bud has grown in the Lord.
I could see how he his life has been changed by
the hand of God. Because he used what others
meant for harm and turned it into good.
Allowing God to use him is such an uplifting
feeling, especially as his father. i see that he can
and will continue to be used by God. I believe
this Book is just the beginning of what the Lord
is going to do in his life.
