Club Outings and Photo Opportunities

This newsletter should have gone out a couple

weeks ago, to let those of our members who do not
have internet access know of the March 19 date.
Mea culpa

The following is all from Pauline Beck, who does a

good job of keeping us informed of photo ops.

At this meeting we will judge prints from the

Wisconsin Print Circuit. Afterwards we will
explain the reasons for our judgments. This will be
a chance to see what other camera club enthusiasts
are doing in the way of photography.

The outing on January 31 to Lake Geneva was well

attended. Eleven club members viewed the 15
artistic snow sculptures that were in the US
National Competition.

The WACCO sponsored seminar featuring Adam

Jones, a Canon Explorer of Light, is sold out. No
wonder, as it is bargain priced at only $8.00. Jones
is a nature, travel and wildlife photographer, a
Canon Explorer of Light.

Here are some outings Pauline is planning:

--Lunch after the Adam Junes seminar Mar. 21. Email her if youd like to join the group, and have
any restaurant suggestions.
--Dinner on Apr. 17 before the reception at The
Blue. Then, some members may go on to another
Gallery Night venue after the Blue, if its not too
late.
--Possibly Milwaukee Museum Mile, Sunday, May
3. Free admission to Charles Allis Art Museum,
Jewish Museum, Museum of Wisconsin Art at St
Johns On the Lake, Villa Terrace, and discount at
North Point Lighthouse. Free shuttle between most

Sugar Days 1-4 pm Mar. 28-29. Visit old time

Exhibits
The second group show of photographs selected
from the large show which was exhibited in the
Milwaukee City Hall, was hung earlier this week in
the LM Welcome Center. There were about ninety
photos in that show, so there are enough for one
more display after this one at Luther Manor.

area attractions to celebrate its centennial. Itll be a

madhouse, though: the new spring show opens that
weekend; on Saturday, the Winter Market will be
held in the conservatory greenhouses; and on
Sunday, its Very Fairy Princess Day with the

princesses, and children encouraged to wear fairy
and princess costumes.

through the parking structure, use the elevator to go
to the mezzanine level, and then down the escalator

Milwaukee Art Museum. It will not be the
traditional Art in Bloom event, spread out all over
the Museum, as all galleries are off view during the
renovation until fall 2015. But, this years Beauty
in Bloom promises to be just as intriguing,
matching floral arrangements to the beautiful gowns
and striking outfits in the Ebony Fashion Fair
special exhibit.
