It is described as a teaching procedure wherein groups or individuals set up
situations, commonly in the laboratory, in order to gather information organize and
analyze said information and draw conclusions.
1. In addition to knowledge and other forms of information gained, the students
learn how to gather valuable data and relevant observations.
2. The skill in organizing and recording data in a clear and orderly manner is
developed. Recognizing relevant and useful data follows.
3. Through constant practice the ability to formulate conclusions and
generalizations based on sufficient data is enhanced.
4. The student becomes aware of the research methodologies including time and
effort that were undertaken by scientist, thus developing a deep sense of
appreciation and gratitude for their achievements.

research process that will be employed.
4. Guide the direction of the research by checking on the progress being made,
asking guide questions along the way or disregarding irrelevant date recorded.
5. Include as many primary sources of information as possible such as additional
readings, interviews and simple case studies.
6. Sharing research findings strengthens favorable attitudes and values.
