Cleared INAO-2012 (Indian National Astronomy Olympiad) by securing a position among top 35 students of India organized by
Indian Association of Physics Teachers & Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education.
Qualified in IIT-JEE 2012 with AIR 844 with 99.8 percentile.
Secured AIR 247 in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) 2011 exam, and was awarded fellowship funded by Department of
Science and Technology, Government of India to promote research and development.
Cleared NSEP -2011 (National Standard Examination in Physics) by being among top 350 students of India.

PROJECTS
Research Project: Unique Somersaulting Dynamics of a dumbbell shaped Bottle.
(Mentor: Dr. Shakti S. Gupta)
It was found that when bottle is given a gentle push in its stable vertical position it somersaults.
The bottle was filmed by using Phantom Vision v9.1 High Speed Camera, and bottle behavior was filmed at 1000 FPS.
Kinematic parameters like linear & angular velocity were found out from the videos using Phantom camera control application
2.0. The relation between initial velocity of impact and coefficient of restitution was plotted.
Structural Manufacturing Project: Steam powered train engine model
(Mentor: Dr. Anish Upadhyaya)
Project was a part of technical arts course and body base of the engine was made by cutting and bending sheet metal steel.
Various parts like engine wheels, and other parts of relatively complex geometry like chimney, blow horns etc. were casted and
molded out of cast iron. Different parts were then welded and brazed to their respective positions.
Project team was awarded certificate of appreciation for best project by the instructor.

POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Secretary, Professional Shows, Antragini13(Cultural festival, IIT Kanpur)
Headed a team of 10 volunteers and assisted in planning and organizing of various professional shows of the festival, witnessed by
as much as 10000 people.
Contacted and convinced renowned national and international artists to be a part of the festival.
Managed the accommodation and hospitality of artists and ensured their convenient stay at the campus.
Facilitated the smooth conduct of the professional shows like Starnight, Classical Night, DJ Night, and Fashion Show.
Secretary, Megaworld, Techkriti13(Technical festival, IIT Kanpur)
Aided a team of 15 member in a four day long real life simulation of virtual economy (Megaworld) comprising of virtual
bank, virtual currency and virtual market.
Registered 2000+ people and allotted profile of an employee like doctor, teacher, lawyer etc. to each one of them.
Organized business events like I need U, stock trade, business tambola, bucks ka dum, casino and lottery with virtual money at stake.
Managed the database of the virtual money accounts of players and goodies worth 5 lakhs were auctioned at the end of the event.
Team Mentor, Alumni Contact Program (ACP), IIT Kanpur
Mentored a team of 8 at Dean of Resources and Alumni (DORA) office for winter semester (Jan-Apr) 2013.
Alumni were contacted through emails and phone calls and their contact details were kept up to date in ACP database.
400+ hours of calling was done in which alumni were provided with recent campus news and persuaded to donate money to be used
in value addition of campus like startup funding, and undergraduate research funding.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Cadet of 3rd Punjab Battalion NCC, Ludhiana for two years, and passed A certificate exam in 2010.
Represented IIT Kanpur in Antragini12 national level folk dance competition.
Won 1st prize in Video and advertisement Making event of Spectrum'13 (Inter Hall Films and Media Competition).
Choreographed in Galaxy'13 (Inter Hall Cultural Competition) and won 2nd prize in group dance competition.
