Vehicle access specialist Mobility Networks launches

Nordic and Baltic operations
The Mobility Networks Group, an international supplier of vehicle access solutions, has expanded
operations into the Nordic and Baltic regions.
Mobility Networks supplies an extensive range of products for accessibility to buses, coaches, wheelchair
accessible vehicles, ambulances, trams and trains. With headquarters in Kent, UK, this organisation
provides one source for quality access solutions from across the world. These include wheelchair access
lifts, removable seating, specialist floor rail systems and further solutions that ensure disabled passengers
can travel safely. Mobility Networks Nordic will provide a complete service for vehicle builders and fleet
operators that includes product supply, assistance with installation, servicing and after sales support. With
over 15 years of specialist experience, Ricko Hedelund has been appointed as Managing Director for
Mobility Networks Nordic ApS.
Ricko comments: I am delighted to have been appointed as Managing Director for Mobility Networks
Nordic. This expansion will deliver many advantages to local vehicle convertors as we combine quality
access solutions with international expertise and local understanding. As part of our product range, we will
be focusing on supply of bus and coach floor rails, specialist seating and powered wheelchair lifts. Our
business recently acquired OKBeeRAIL which is a durable, lightweight rail flooring solution that provides
flexible positioning of wheelchairs tie-downs and removable vehicle seating. This is now branded as
FlexiRail and is ideal for flat floor accessible vehicles ranging from mini-buses to coaches. FlexiRail has
been crash-tested to full M1 standards and across a wide range of vehicle platforms.
Ricko continues: In addition to FlexiRail flooring and seating solutions, we will also be introducing vehicle
access wheelchair lifts to the Nordic and Baltic regions. Manufactured in the UK by the Mobility Networks
company, PLS (Passenger Lift Services), these powered platforms are precisely engineered and provide
safe access for wheelchair passengers. Whatever specifiers, operators or convertors require, however
complex, we are ready to provide a complete vehicle access service.
Mike Simmonds, Mobility Networks CEO added: We believe the introduction of Mobility Network access
solutions to this region will enhance performance and efficiency for fleet operators and vehicle convertors.
Our safe and strong products will increase accessibility to public and private transport whilst maximising
passenger safety through our international market intelligence.
