Vamos a empezar con los Simple Tenses en ingls (los tiempos verbales simples)T
Un Simple tense (tiempo verbal simple) es una forma de un verbo que simplemente muestra cundo la
accin ocurre

El Simple Past (pasado simple) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin ocurri en el
pasado.
Por ejemplo: Lisa danced yesterday.
(Lisa bail ayer.)

El Simple Present (presente simple) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin ocurre en
el presente.
Por ejemplo: Lisa dances every day.
(Lisa baila todos los das.)

El Simple Future (futuro simple) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin ocurrir en el
futuro.
Por ejemplo: Lisa will dance tomorrow.
(Lisa bailar maana.)

PROGRESIVO significa "continuando".


Un Progressive tense (tiempo verbal progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin
est en progreso. En otras palabras, significa que contina.

El Past Progressive (pasado progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin
estaba en progreso en algn momento en el pasado.
Por ejemplo: Lisa was dancing yesterday at 8 o'clock.
(Lisa estaba bailando ayer a las 8 horas.)

El Present Progressive (presente progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin
est en progreso en el presente.
Por ejemplo: Lisa is dancing right now.
(Lisa est bailando ahora.)

El Future Progressive (futuro progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin
estar en progreso en algn momento en el futuro.

Por ejemplo: Lisa will be dancing tomorrow at 8 o'clock.


(Lisa estar bailando maana a las 8 horas.)
PERFECTO significa "completo, terminado" (similar a los tiempos compuestos en espaol).
Un Perfect tense (tiempo verbal perfecto) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin ha sido
completada. No significa que la accin es "perfecta" (o sea, 100%). Significa que la accin
est terminada .

El Past Perfect (pasado perfecto) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin haba sido
completada antes de algn momento en el pasado.
Por ejemplo: Lisa had danced before she came.
(Lisa haba bailado antes de venir.)

El Present Perfect (presente perfecto) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin fue
completada antes del presente.
Por ejemplo: Lisa has already danced.
(Lisa ya ha bailado.)

El Future Perfect (futuro perfecto) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la accin ser
completada antes de algn momento en el futuro.
Por ejemplo: Lisa will have danced tomorrow by 9 o'clock.
(Lisa habr bailado para maana a las 9 horas.)

S! Existen 3 tiempos verbales ms. stos son los Perfect Progressive (Continuous) tenses (tiempos
perfectos progresivos o continuos).
Un Perfect Progressive tense (tiempo verbal perfecto progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que
la accin empez, continu y fue completada para algn momento.

El Past Perfect Progressive (pasado perfecto progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra
que la accin empez en el pasado y continu hasta algn momento en el pasado.
Por ejemplo: Lisa had been dancing for 2 hours before she was tired.
(Lisa haba estado bailando durante 2 horas antes de cansarse.)

El Present Perfect Progressive (presente perfecto progresivo) es una forma del verbo que
muestra que la accin empez en el pasado y continu hasta el presente.

Por ejemplo: Lisa has been dancing for 3 hours without stopping!
(Lisa ha estado bailando durante 3 horas sin parar!)

El Future Perfect Progressive (futuro perfecto progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra
que la accin continuar hasta algn momento en el futuro.
Por ejemplo: By tomorrow morning, Lisa will have been dancing for 12 hours!
(Para maana a la maana, Lisa habr estado bailando durante 12 horas!)
