Dear Friends and Supporters,
“For your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him.” Matthew 6:8. I am writing this letter from the Amazon jungle of Peru. “Peru?” you may ask. “I thought you were going to Brazil as missionaries?” Yes! That is correct. However, the Lord opened the door for us to go to Peru on a short mission trip, as we have done a number of times before. Tonya and I have gone to Peru with several groups of young people with a group called MissionSports over the last several years and God has greatly blessed as we have both seen young people’s lives impacted through these trips and people accept Jesus Christ as Savior in the Amazon of Peru. God has used these trips and others that I have made to Peru to greatly increase my knowledge and understanding of South American cultures and equip me with many skills that we will need in our ministries in Brazil. We are already reaping the rewards of our labors. Several have come to know the Lord and we were able to help, as a group, two new church plants in two villages along the river. God has supplied our needs and answered our prayers in so many ways over the last several months as we have continued our deputation ministry. More have “come on board” with us as both prayer and financial partners and we now have 16% of our support! PRAISE THE LORD! That puts us that much closer to the mission field in Brazil where God has called us. God has also provided necessary funds for traveling through generous love offerings in churches where we have presented our ministry and these also helped make our trip to Peru possible. We are thrilled with the way in which God has provided our every need and made this all possible. We also enjoyed our time at the National Camp Meeting at Galilean Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA, the home church of the Gospel Preacher Association. What a great time of encouragement it was for us as we heard God’s Word preached and had great fellowship with many of God’s choice servants. We were able to make some good contacts with different pastors and plan to have some meetings scheduled from these. We also were able to visit the church that Jon was a member of for a number of years and participate in their summer camp and missions conference. We were able to present our ministry and burden for the country of Brazil and spend some good time with the children who attended the camp. At least one of these children accepted Christ as Savior, and others were challenged to consider God’s will for their lives. Overall, we have had a wonderful last few months as we continue to rely on God to provide for our needs and open the doors for us to present our ministries. We know that we will get to the field when God is ready for us to go. In the meantime, we will continue to be faithful to proclaim His Word (Continued on back)

where we are and do the work He has sent us to do. When we are not in meetings, we are spending time in our home church and helping in whatever way we can, and visiting new churches to introduce ourselves. We will only make good missionaries on the mission field if we are faithful to do the work while we are here. We thank those of you who are faithfully praying for us and those of you that are providing our support to do the work that we are doing. We have many travel expenses, and people like you are making it possible for us to travel and hold the meetings that we have. God is faithful! We look forward to our next report to tell you more of what God is doing in our lives. Until then, continue to “turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” Serving Christ and Others,

Jon and Tonya Harman
