Call of the Wild

eep serenity of the sal & bamboo forests, rolling
grasslands & meandering streams stretch over
940 sq kms in a dramatic natural splendour; this
is Kanha . Kanha National Park forms the core of
the Kanha Tiger Reserve established in 1974 under the
campaign, 'Project Tiger'. Nestled amid beautiful
landscape, the park is the only habitat of the rare
hardground Barasingha ( Cervus Duvaceli Branderi).
It was in 1930s that the Kanha area was divided into
two sanctuaries called Hallon & Banjar, of 250 sq kms &
300 sq kms each. Though one of these was subsequently
disbanded, the area remained a protected one until 1947.
Depletion of the tiger population in the years that
followed led to the area being made an absolute sanctuary in 1952.
By a special statute in 1955, Kanha National Park came into being. Since then, a series of stringent
conservation programmes for the protection of the park's flora & fauna has given Kanha its deserved reputation
for being one of the finest & best administered National Parks in Asia, an irresistible attraction for all wildlife lovers
and a true haven for its animals and avian population.

The Property - There are 6 AC and 6 Aircooled rooms with a lovely courtyard.
Located near the Mukki gate of the
Kanha National Park which is situated
at the border of the jungle, the lodge
provides all the comforts and opulence
to add to your wonderful experience.
For a closer date with the
jungle one can go to the Nature Trail,
one and half km away from our hotel
and get a stunning view of the Banjar
river. This is an apt place for the bird
watchers as it is inhabited with a
plethora of migratory as well as
resident birds.

The Rooms : To experience pure relaxation ,the

cozy rooms provide all the guest amenities for
business as well as leisure purposes. The beauty
of the hotel lies in its simplicity which is reflected
in its colour scheme and interior design.

The Restaurant : The multi-cuisine open sky

restaurant offers Indian, Chinese and South

and enjoy the peace and pleasure the place offers. The

choose from.
Entertainment Center : Apart from watching the wild in
the jungle we have facility of an entertainment center
to show you wildlife movies to increase your
information about the jungle. For all those who are
interested in the culture of the place tribal dance
shows may be organized on demand.

How to Reach
By Air: Nearest airports are at Jabalpur (160 km),
Raipur (240km) and Nagpur (335km).
By Rail: Most convenient railheads are at Jabalpur and
Bilaspur.
By Road: There is a daily to and fro bus service
available for Kisli and Mukki from Jabalpur. Taxis are
available for hire from Jabalpur, Bilaspur and Raipur. It
is advisable to reach Kisli before sunset as vehicles are
not allowed within the park after dark. For assistance at
Jabalpur, contact MPSTDC's Tourist Office at the
railway station or Kalchuri Residency (a MPT unit).
