A new generation of easy-to-use, safe and suitable for rapid heating of refractory

concretes containing no cement

Summary
The use of monolithic refractory materials is becoming increasingly important place in
the lining of equipment for the production of cement, including cyclones, precalciners,
feeders, coving ovens and refrigerators. At the same advantages in terms of simplicity,
the lining of geometrically complex parts concretes oppose additional requirements for
drying and heating modes of monolithic materials. These problems are inherent vaults
ovens, refrigerators and burners are being lined with concrete, can not be properly dried
without the use of complex procedures with additional burners. Rhee offers a solution to
these problems through the use of unshaped refractory materials with a binder based
on colloidal silica, which allow a more rapid and simple drying and heating as compared
to concrete based on cement binder. Curing of concrete is based on a new binder on
the market called COMPAC SOL and CARSIT SOL. Extensive experience in the
application of unshaped materials showed that working with them is simple and is
comparable to the known methods of working with a cement-based cementitious
binders. After more than a year of successful operation reached the end of the first liner
companies and life. This article summarizes the experience of this new type of
refractory materials.
introduction
New types of refractory concrete with a binder based on colloidal
Silica is much easier to heating furnace, which until date has been quite difficult. This
makes the new fireproof
Concrete is very attractive for small repairs and to work in an environment where
appropriate to ensure a comprehensive drying or heating is very difficult or possibly only
using a special equipment, which rarely occurs in practice. For example, the roof of the
furnace, the refrigerator and on the burner housing. The new line of refractories, which
bears name COMPAC / CARSIT SOL, is based on an entirely different binding system
consisting of silicon nanoparticles. Special binder supplied separately from the mixture.
It replaces the usual cement-based binder of different phases of calcium aluminate and
provides a number of advantages. The main advantage of the new mixtures COMPAC /
CARSIT SOL are:
>> No need for pre-drying.
>> Quick and simple procedure of heating the oven.
>> Reducing the influence of ambient temperature on the performance of final product.
The reduced sensitivity to >> the wrong dosage of the liquid at blending.
Easy to control >> setting time.
