SELECTION CRITERIA

In this order:
Secondary education teachers of English in state schools in Crdoba who
are preparing their students to pass ISE 0, I, II (A2, B1, B2) examinations.
Other secondary education teachers in state schools who are interested in
Trinity ISE examinations.
EVALUATION
Attendance and Evaluation Questionnaire of the activity.

Participants will receive a Certificate of attendance for five hours.

OBSERVATIONS
People who are admitted and for any reason are unable to attend the activity
are requested to communicate it over the platform Sneca and to the teacher
trainer in charge of this activity before the beginning of it in order to include
other applicants from the waiting list.
Accessibility: Motor or sensory disabled applicants must indicate
it when applying to provide the necessary resources.

RATIONALE
Trinity's Integrated Skills in English (ISE) examinations assess all four
language skills Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading interacting with
each other as they do in the real world.
An ISE examination forms a natural part of any course of English language
study, undertaken in a group or individually.

THE WORKSHOP LEADER

The examinations include a portfolio element. By taking classroom work into


account as well as tasks carried out under examination conditions, a wide
and varied sample of learner work is taken fully into account.
Preparation for the examination supports the programme of work chosen by
the teacher and learner, rather than interfering with it.

He has taught English in Spain, France, Italy and the UK and has worked for
the British Council as Director of British Institutes in Chile and Spain,
managed his own British Council accredited language school in England
and worked as a government OfSTED inspector for ESOL.

AIMS
Train teachers of English to prepare their students for the TRINITY ISE
examinations.
Guide teachers through the three components of these examinations.

3. Spoken Interview

A graduate of the Universities of East Anglia, Leicester and Essex, Nigel has
over thirty years' experience in the field of English language teaching and
teacher training.

Nigel has been a Trinity Examiner for more than ten years and has worked
in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Macau.
