VI. Discussion (30%)

INDEX CARD (Full Name-surname first, Student #, Course,

Schematic Diagrams must be in flowchart format and are to be


written in a Steno Notebook.
Reserve the left side for procedure and the right side for
observations and results.
Schematic Diagrams will be checked at the start of every class.
Results and observations recorded in the Lab Notebook will be
checked at the end of the class.

DEPARTMENTAL EXAMS
Two exams will be given and the average of both will be taken as the
final score in the departmental exam.

Any student who fails to take a departmental exam may be


excused upon presentation of a medical certificate issued by
the UP Health Service. If two exams were missed, only one
exam will be excused and the other will be given a zero.

If a major exam is missed for any other reason, a grade of zero


will be given for the exam.

FORMAL REPORT

Each group will present a 15-30 minute oral report of the


experiment assigned to them.
The Oral Report must include:

The Oral Report is graded based on the following criteria:

Visual aids must be neat and readable.
All members must report and each will receive a group grade.
Groups must pass a draft of the Formal Report at the start of
the Reporting. The Oral Report grade will receive a deduction
of 10% if the group fails to submit the draft. Late drafts will not
be accepted.

prevent accidents. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed.
Students with incomplete/inappropriate attire for the lab class
will not be allowed to attend the class and will receive a zero for

assess all techniques and skills learned.

LAB PERFORMANCE

The students performance will be evaluated based on the rules


and regulations set for the class.
Demerits will be imposed for each violation and will be reflected
in the Lab Performance part of the grade.
There will be no make-up for missed experiments whether duly
excused or not.

Quiz Notebook, Schematic Diagram, Lab Reports, Lab Manual,
Written Reports, Exams, and Lab Clearance must be placed
inside a LONG BROWN ENVELOPE, labeled with the Subject,
Section, Group # and Names of Members.
Compilation must be passed on the last day of reporting. Any
missing requirement will receive a grade of ZERO.
No compilation, no 2nd Exam.

10. POST LAB ASSESSMENT


A quiz will be given at the end of each laboratory experiment to
assess theoretical knowledge of the performed experiment.

11. DATA SHEET

Data sheet (from the Lab Manual) for an experiment must be


passed at the start of the meeting following the date the
experiment was performed.
Late Lab Reports will receive a grade of ZERO.
