Turkish Study Guide 16

Online at http://langmedia.fivecolleges.edu/turkish

Essential Preparation:
1. Go through the student study guide carefully, all materials assigned, and the instructions
on this sheet. Remember to limit yourself to the vocabulary and structures the students
are familiar with and learning.
2. Go though this conversation carefully and prepare yourself for each exercise. Prepare
necessary materials as needed.
3. Remember to prepare to give instructions in simple Turkish. You may gradually add
more complicated instructions and responses as the semester progresses.
4. Prepare an activity for Part C that is culture-related. Prepare different questions to go
along with activity that you will ask the students afterwards.
5. Prepare a drill for compound nouns similar to the ones in the textbook.
6. Prepare a drill for the genitive possessive.
7. Using the images from last weeks session, ask students to tell you which months are a
part of which seasons.
Lesson Plan:
Remind students at beginning of session that there will be 10 minutes at the end of the session
which they can ask you questions in English.
