To receive a rebate credit on your electric bill, simply follow these steps:

Step 1 Purchase a qualifying appliance for installation within EPUD’s service district. Appliance(s) must
be purchased by December 31, 2010. (To verify that your selection qualifies, check with EPUD.
Energy Star appliances can be verified at www.energystar.gov).

Step 2 Complete this rebate form and sign at the bottom.

Step 3 Return the form to EPUD with a copy of your receipt listing the brand name and model number of
your appliance(s). For the decommissioning rebate, please provide proof of decommissioning of the
old refrigerator.

Mail or bring to EPUD, 33733 Seavey Loop Rd, Eugene OR 97405. Rebate form must be
submitted within 90 days of purchase. Your account will be credited the appropriate amount.

Appliances must meet these requirements to be eligible:


Appliance Qualifying Program Standard
1. Energy Star clothes washers with a Modified Energy Factor (MEF) of 1.8
or higher and a Water Factor (WF) of 7.5 or lower qualify for the rebate.

2. The home where appliance is being installed must have electric water
heating.
1. Energy Star dishwashers must have maximum energy use of 324 kWh/year
and 5.8 gallons per cycle for standard models and a maximum energy use
Dishwashers of 234 kWh/year and 4.0 gallons per cycle for compact models.
2. The home where appliance is being installed must have electric water
heating.
Water heaters under 60 gallons must have an Energy Factor of .93 or higher.
Electric Water Heaters Water heaters 60 gallons and greater must have an Energy factor of .91 or
higher.
Electric Water Heaters
Marathon water heaters with a lifetime tank warranty qualify for the rebate.
Lifetime Warranty
Energy Star freezers with a volume of 7.75 cubic feet or larger that are at least
Freezers 10% more energy efficient than the minimum federal government standard
qualify for the rebate.
Energy Star refrigerators 7.75 cubic feet or larger that are at least 20% more
Refrigerators energy efficient than the minimum federal government standard qualify for the
rebate.
EPUD customers purchasing an Energy Star refrigerator for the rebate may
also qualify for this rebate by decommissioning their old refrigerator. (The old
Refrigerator
refrigerator must be at least 17 cu. ft. in capacity & verified as functional. The
Decommissioning
unit must be decommissioned & its components recycled.) Provide proof of
decommissioning such as a receipt from the Lane County Landfill.
