namely, the early edition printed in B.E. 2496-2499 (1954-1956) (Ch1) and the later edition printed in B.E. 2500-2506 (1958-1964) (Ch2) both
of which are indicated in a pagination reference in the margin of the text, Volumes No. 1-38, as (Ch1-2).
As for the remaining Volumes No. 39-40, the Roman-script Edition (M) is based on Volumes No. 39-40 of the early edition printed in B.E.
2496-2499 (1954-1956) which is indicated in a pagination reference in the romanised text, Volumes No. 39-40, as (Ch1).
