Previous work experiences in a finance section. A Bachelors degree or suitable qualifications in

finance and/or accounting is preferred:I currently have 2 yrs work experience as an Accounting assistant at Neal and Massy Energy
Limited; in my current role I am responsible for the effective completion of the following tasks:
Maintenance of the Companys Cash flow records, as well as Petty Cash Float.
Effectively preparing Foreign and Local Payable Payments.
Ensuring that all deliverables are met and Management Accounts be ready for submission
before the 8th working day as per our schedule.
Ensuring that good Governance is practiced and all polices are adhered to within the
In conjunction to my work experience I am presently pursuing the ACCA qualification at Level 2
along with a Diploma in International Trade and Commerce.
Competent in the operation of computerized Financial Management Information Systems and
Microsoft applications:Obtaining the knowledge and experience in the computerized software Peachtree as well as 2
yrs plus hands on skill in the dynamic Smarterm system. These systems played a major role in my day
to day data entry operations. My innate technical savvy trait as well as my duties has continuously
allowed me to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power point, etc.
Accurate and methodical approach to work, including proficient data entry skills:My passion for Accounting both in my duties and studies has guided me to learn and
understand the importance of accuracy and precision. These traits aid in the grounding of accounting
transactions such as data entry for payments, invoicing and journal entries in support of preparation of
Expense analysis, G.L and Bank Reconciliations, Payments and Management Accounts.
Highly organized with effective analytical skills and able to manage competing priorities with
limited supervision:My surrogate duties undertaken as Assistant Accountant fostered effective decision making
skills and analysis; for within this time my deductive reasoning played a vital role in my efficiency to
assume the post. In addition, by having to report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who was not
based in my location led to limited supervision, allowing for that self development of responsibility to
my functions.

Innately I am a sociable individual; I have been a part of numerous clubs and groups at my
secondary school such as the Language Club, UNESCO Club, Student council and Debate Team. In
addition, I communicate effectively day after day with suppliers for queries on payments, clients for
retrieving information and staff for teamwork in meeting companys objectives as well as teambuilding
activities. Notwithstanding, my involvement as a brand ambassador for reputable brands such as

between myself and the customer for the betterment of the brand is vital to the job.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a small, dynamic team

As the acting Assistant Accountant, I was responsible for the processing of the companys
accounts with the CEO retrieving a draft for review. By this I developed the ability to work
autonomously and self-regulatory for the succession of submitting a low error draft to Management. At
this period of time my involvement was between myself, Project Manager, Human Resource Officer
and the CEO in order to meet the organizations guidelines and objectives. In addition, I am an activate
member of the companys Fire Warden Team which is a sub-group of the Loss Prevention Group.
