Update for KTS 200

Vehicle Identication

Automatic feedback of identication

numbers from electronic control units

A correct vehicle identication is critical for a proper vehicle

diagnostic and repair.

The current version of ESI[tronic] 2.0 contains an automatic

feedback of unknown identication numbers from electronic
control units. If ESI[tronic] 2.0 detects an unknown
identication number, it will be automatically get sent to a
server of the Robert Bosch GmbH. (Data will be sent
anonymously).

The new update 2014/3 for KTS 200

brings a huge update in speed
Any function that uses many dierent dialogs has been
heavily improved and is now faster by at least 50%; case in
question - showing actuator, actual value list, special
functions, adjustments & settings. Startup & identication
remains at the same speed.

Hence ESI[tronic] 2.0 integrates a series of features to help

gain further eciency by correctly selecting the vehicle :
t By description manual vehicle selection
t Second tab where available, this tab conforms to the
local standards
t Last 30 vehicles retrieve a recently diagnosed vehicle in
seconds!
t VIN identication For EU manufactured vehicles, it
oers a manual input or a direct VIN readout through the
vehicle OBD connection. Just connect to the vehicle and
select VIN readout.

Access to all covered ECUs

within Diagnosis

As soon as a vehicle is fully identied and you click on

>> Diagnosis >> Repair, ESI[tronic] 2.0 preselects and
displays the ECUs onboard the vehicle.
However, in the case of a vehicle not being matched up
in our database, you could get access to the complete
ECU database covered in ESI[tronic] 2.0. (Accessed
through the SHOW ALL button highlighted in red
above).

The tick boxes indicate the ones that are expected to

be tted and are being searched for. Additional
systems can be added to the list by ticking the empty
boxes.
