Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God

loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7 ESV)

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will
also reap bountifully. (2 Corinthians 9:6 ESV)
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves
break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart
will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 ESV)
And he said to them, Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for ones life does
not consist in the abundance of his possessions. (Luke 12:15 ESV)
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and
remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to
receive. (Acts 20:35 ESV)
Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then
you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy,
sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they
may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give
to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may
be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:1-4 ESV)
Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, This is the thing that the Lord has
commanded. Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let
him bring the Lords contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; (Exodus 35:4-5 ESV)
Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered
freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly. (1 Chronicles 29:9 ESV)
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he
became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9 ESV)
Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are
to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he
may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2 ESV)
Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow
put in two small copper coins. And he said, Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than
all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she
had to live on. (Luke 21:1-4 ESV)
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all
times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, He has distributed freely, he has given
to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for
food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce
thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints
but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will
glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ,
and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray
for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible
gift! (2 Corinthians 9:8-15 ESV)

I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the
gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will
supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:18-19
ESV)
