- to complete the medical administration records on a daily basis for each service user under
supervision
- to complete all daily medication check list as required by the Home Manager
- to undertake medication rounds at prescribed times and ensure sufficient medication is available for
the next 24 hours
- to carry our nursing procedures as necessary which may include blood sugar and blood pressure
measurement, temperature measurement, urine testing etc
- to record all baseline observations, note any area of concern and implement a plan of care
- to ensure all recording charts are kept up to date, food and fluids in particular
- to prescribe, promote and assist in personal hygiene, mobility, toileting and continence training for all
service users in conjunction with the care assistants
- to assist in serving the meals and feeding of the services users and ensure adequate food and fluid
intake
- participate in nursing audits as required by the Home Manager

Main ADMINISTRATIVE duties:
- to ensure proper and permanent coverage of the home making the best possible usage of the staff
resources
- to deal with short notice absence as and when required
- to assist in teaching care assistants to carry out their duties
- to ensure proper segregation of clinical and other waste materials and ensure they are disposed
according to the legislation
