Situation
Analysis:
As
per
community
situation
analysis,
most
of
the
Arsenic
free
Tubewell
have
no
platform.
As
a
result
there
is
a
huge
chance
for
bacterial
contamination
in
the
tube
well.
In
Every
ward,
CBO
developed
an
action
plan
for
improving
the
safe
water
sources.
Initiative
Taken:
AMRF
is
working
with
the
community
people
by
forming
CBO
in
every
ward
of
Union
Parishad.
With
this
consistence
CBO
representatives
visited
the
tube-wells
site
as
per
community
demand.
Through
their
visit
if
they
felt
it
needed
to
construct
platform
for
improving
quality
of
water,
subsequently
they
decided
to
apply
to
AMRF
for
the
construction
of
platform.
Construction
Process:
Application:
Every
CBO
chairmen
have
applied
to
AMRF
on
behalf
of
community
people
for
the
construction
of
platform
with
the
appropriate
prescribed
format.
Approval:
Based
on
CBOs
application
union
supervisor
and
project
engineer
visited
the
tube- well
site,
then
union
supervisor
recommended
construction
those
platform.
On
the
other
hand
engineer
recommended
that
there
are
no
technical
obligations
to
construct
the
platform.
Contribution
money:
According
to
WAB
cost
sharing
strategy
CBO
decided
to
take
cost
sharing
money
approximate
8%
of
of
total
construction
of
every
single
platform
as
per
wellbeing
ranking.
Contractor/Masson
Selection:
Selection
of
contractor
as
per
organizational
financial
policy.
Construction
work:
Construction
work
has
started
as
priority
basis.
Both
of
CBO
and
Engineer
monitor
the
construction
work
for
ensuring
the
quality
of
materials
and
construction
work.
Handover:
After
the
completion
of
construction
work
AMRF
handed
over
the
platform
to
CBO
for
using
water
facilities

Population:
In
the
last
WAB
financial
year
(
April
2014
to
March
2015)
AMRF
construct
34
number
of
As
free
Tubewells
Platform
in
Sreenagar
and
Louhajong
upzila.
Now
2007
people
get
safe
water
from
those
Tubewell.
