My assignment is to teach a lesson using the Audio-lingual method for Year 4 st
udents. The objectives of the lesson are :
1. student will be able to repeat the dialogues with partners.
2. students will be able to transform questions into statements.
3. students will be able to complete a dialog using nouns, verbs or adjectives.

1. Teacher read a dialogue to the students and explained the necessary words of
the dialogue.
2. Students read the dialogue to themselves and to the teacher.
3. Students then practised the dialogue with their partners.
4. Students read the dialogue in front of the class.
5. Students tried to say out the dialogue without reading from the paper.
6. Students created their own dialogue by changing the names, things or
verbs of the original dialogue.
7. Teacher asked them a few questions in order to change questions to statements
.
8. Students filled out the dialogue using nouns, verbs or adjectives.
9. Students shared their dialogues to the rest of the class.

2. Some of them could not memorized the dialogue. They had to read from the pape

3. A few students were able to create their own dialogue but some couldn't.
4. Students were able to transform a few questions into statements.

Overall, the lesson went well. Students participated actively during the lesson
. However, there were a few students who reluctant to read the dialogue in front
of the class. They could not read the dialogue fluently. Maybe I need to spend
more time in modelling the dialogue reading to them. The filling in the blanks a
ctivity was not challenging enough because the selection of words were given. Pe
rhaps I could change the activity a little bit to make it more fun and challengi
ng like get them to unscramble the words in order to complete the dialogue.
