for my health (minus the bruises) and   my selfperception.  Not many people my age get to do what I do.
I also found the support and care of the TKD family
which was a huge unexpected bonus of joining Silva

and watching the progress made. It is very exciting!"
Gaby now proudly holds her black belt in TKD as well
as a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. She likes to joke: “I

Curriculum Books

At each new belt, you will receive a curriculum book
by Mr. Hurst. This book will guide you through your
at home practice for all of your new stripes!
Please encourage your child to practice at home, and
speak with us if you need extra help. We can set up
extra one on one time before class, and help you
achieve your next belt stripe! We want to help every
student succeed at their own pace.

Belt Testing
June Tip
It is very important to test
when you are ready, and not
rush through your belts.
Training hard, and
perfecting your basics gives
you stronger skills to build
on later.
Very few people test every
time from white to black
belt. Most students miss a
testing once in awhile,
especially at the higher
ranks.
Try not to focus on testing
for belts or stripes. Instead
focus on perfecting your
skills, and doing your
absolute best!
