* CalHEP recommends nearly $9 million of hepatitis C health care assistance for
Californians in next years state budget (Project Inform, May 10, 2015)
* The Governors May Revision for the 2015-2016 Budget includes $228 million for
hepatitis C treatment costs in Medi-Cal, state hospitals, and state prisons. If
finalized, the budget would be effective July 1.
* Assembly Bill 383 (Gipson, D-Carson) would require primary care clinics to offer
hepatitis C screening in accordance with U.S. Preventive Services Task Force
screening guidelines, with some exceptions noted in the bill. For more information
