HOW TO
T

Choose the Right Health Club

here are many different reasons

for joining a Health Club. For
many people those reasons include losing weight, relieving stress,
restoring energy and vitality, and preventing illness. Making the decision
to join is the critical first step in the
process of achieving your goals, but
choosing the right one is equally as
important. Taking on a healthier lifestyle means you have to make some
important changes in your mindset,
your lifestyle choices, and your day-today activities. To succeed you will need
guidance, support, and encouragement. Choose the health club where
you can find all three.

With these things clear in your mind,

go to www.healthclubs.com to see
what quality clubs are in your area.
Next, visit their websites to get an idea
of what they have to offer. Then call
to set up a time to get a tour of the
facility; always pick the time for a tour
that you would normally use the club
to see what it will be like when youre
there. During the tour you can evaluate
the atmosphere, cleanliness, equipment, classes and programs, the staff,
and the value of their membership. If
it feels right, then join and be on the
road to better health!

The right health club has a staff of fitness professionals to serve you and
the equipment and programs to support your mission. Some of the most
important factors to consider when selecting a Health Club are:
Atmosphere (will your visits relieve
stress or add more?)
Cleanliness (is the club diligent about keeping things clean
and sanitary?)
Equipment (is it effective, efficient,
and well maintained?)
Classes & programs (is there a wide
variety of offerings?)
Staff (is the staff friendly, helpful, supportive and professionally certified?)
Value (will you be renting a treadmill, or connecting into something that will bring meaningful
change to your life?)

To Whom It May Concern,

Our relationship with Jamie Barber began
when he sold our daughter and her husband
their first home. We were so impressed with
his attention to detail and genuine concern
for their best interest. Having many options,
when we decided to sell our home we asked
Jamie to take on the listing.
He immediately began work on our behalf.
He gathered information and spread it far
and wide. He walked with us through the
waiting, the showings, encouraging us along
the way. As a qualified buyer came forward
he made sure the process ran smoothly, looking out for our best interests while covering
all areas of the sale. During this emotional process, Jamie ensured our desires were
met, encouraging us along the way.
But our story doesnt end with the successful
sale of our home. It was our intention to stay
in the area so we were on the hunt for a new
place to live. This proved to be a more difficult process for us. With Jamies unwavering
help, he presented us with various options
and excellent questions that helped us refine our search. With this focus in mind he
graciously and patiently moved us forward.
Even though this process was lengthy, he
gave us as much time as we needed. We
are happy to announce our search is over
and are sure that the process would not have
been nearly as bearable if it werent for the
Jamies perseverance.
We believe there will be other chapters to
our story as Jamie has become a trusted
friend and we are looking forward to the new
relationship this journey has brought to us
all. Our paths will cross again.
We highly recommend Jamie to those in
need of an honorable, trustworthy realtor.

With High Regard,

Carl and Susan

Imagine you are looking for a house on

acreage, private, with square-footage and a
sound structure, all within a limited budget
and in an area with not much inventoryand
your realtor doesnt balk. We were optimistic, had unlikely expectations, and were possibly a realtors worst nightmarewe were
determined to wait for the perfect property. Jamie Barber took the time to educate
us on the process and the market, research
different neighborhoods, organize and
stand inspections, as well as anything else
that turned out to be needed, while never
making us feel like we were wasting his time
(which we are sure we did more than a few
times). He encouraged us to look at more
properties, to call him more, and to not settle. With a limited budget, we did not expect
this kind of dedication and support from our
realtor. And with a great support staff at Network Real Estate, we never felt like we would
miss out on a property.
Beyond Jamies infectious work ethic and
professionalism, his attention to detail is
what truly sets him apart. We encountered
a very difficult escrow. You could even say
it was one of the more difficult escrows a
realtor has had to navigate. Jamie carefully
worded our contingencies, researched and
advised us on all of our options, and handled
a difficult situation with ease, and we are very
grateful to have had him on our side.
In the end, we found the perfect house,
and, a friend.

Tile is fire proof and the best choice in
that respect.
In my opinion, tile is not the best choice
when there is a lot of trees dropping
debris on the roof as this dams the water and diverts it off metal flashing and
onto the underlayment, thus, deteriorating the underlayment more quickly.

Buy a Mattress

o youre tossing and turning,

your body aches, and you cant
sleep. It could be time for a new
mattress. There is no set guide for deciding when its time to buy one. But if
yours is saggy, lumpy, more than seven years old, stained, or if you wake
feeling tired and achy; it is time to go
mattress shopping.The good news is
that technology has given you more
choices as to the type of mattress
you might need.
There are many types of mattresses
and levels of firmness to choose from,
but no true science to support the idea
that one type of mattress is better than
another. Everyone sleeps a little differently and has different likes and needs.
The best mattress is the one that gives
you the best nights sleep and it isnt
necessarily the most expensive one.
So, you need to take the time and try
the mattresses. If you sleep on your
side, you need to try them lying on your
side. The way you sleep. There is no
industry standard to define commonly
used terms like firm or plush. So,
wear loose clothing and take your time
finding the firmness that you prefer.
There are many manufactures and many
types of mattresses that offer different
support qualities. Tempur-Pedic is the

mattresses. They conform and support
you extremely well. They last a little
longer than a conventional mattress

Choose an Alarm Company

he security industry, like so many

others, has made great strides in
technology during the internet
age. Unfortunately, advancements can
create a great deal of confusion and
in many cases companies sacrifice the
level of security and service while chasing the remote mail order sale using a
cookie cutter approach.
A security system is, when designed
properly, probably the most important
component to the protection of your
home and family. Why then would so
many be willing to take short cuts with
such an important service of protecting your home and family? The answer
generally lies with the lack of understanding when performance is overstated and equipment misrepresented.
One needs to not only consider security equipment but put a great deal of
weight on the selection of the company and their ability to support, service
and minimize false alarms. The departure from this priority has resulted in
larger numbers of false alarms primarily because the same problem systems
are creating police response repeatedly without regard to the importance of
tying up law enforcement resources.
First of all, there is no cookie cutter approach to choosing a system.
Every customer has particular needs,
liabilities and a home that presents
certain needs and challenges. Some
customers put an emphasis on personal security, others place the emphasis
on property protection or both. Each

before you need one. When illness
strikes or you suffer an unexpected
injury, it is important to choose the
hospital best suited to your specific
needs. By checking in advance the services and facilities of the hospitals near
you, you will be better able to make an
informed decision if the time arrives.
While it is certainly true that most hospitals follow similar practices and procedures in the care of patients, there
are facilities that are better able to handle your situation than some of their
counterparts.

Another common factor influencing

hospital choice is whether your chosen physician has privileges at a particular facility. Doctors frequently send
patients to certain hospitals simply
because they are familiar with the site,
have admitting privileges and are able
to efficiently function there.
Typically, insurance carriers pay the cost
of services from a preferred provider,
including hospitals. However, your outof-pocket costs will be higher if you select a hospital that is outside of your
insurers preferred provider network.

be a great investment. Choosing the right property management company can make or break
your real estate investment. There are
new companies starting up all over.
How do you tell them apart? Whether
you are a first time landlord or a seasoned investor, its important to ask
the right questions. Here are some
suggestions.
First, find out how long the management company has been in business.
Are they licensed, insured and bonded? The well-seasoned, properly qualified property manager is more likely to
understand how to protect your investment. They will also be more likely to
follow appropriate procedures for handling your rental income.
Is the company well staffed? Having
a solid staff of seasoned dedicated
employees provides additional confidence, especially if they offer after-hours response to emergencies.
Experienced managers will have a
huge advantage in their approach to
tenant relationships. Having better
tenants means more income over the
life of your investment. The right property manager has higher quality tenants. Better tenants pay rent on time
more often and generally put less wear
and tear on your property than tenants
that are not screened as thoroughly.
Find how tenants are screened. Ask
if the company runs credit and background checks. Do they use professional credit bureaus? Do they run
eviction searches on prospective tenants? A licensed property manager will

will ask for our help during
difficult times, but as family members
have learned, this may not happen. In
fact, aging parents may be in denial
about their need for assistance, or they
may decline offers for help because
they feel ashamed and powerless.
RESPECT YOUR LOVED ONES SITUATION AND FEELINGS
Aging parents may not feel ready to
relinquish control over aspects of their
lives to younger or healthier relatives.
Aging spouses often have difficulty admitting that they cannot care for their
spouse around-the-clock without time
to themselves to rest and rejuvenate.
This can cause feelings of guilt that are
compounded by the sadness they feel
at the decline of their spouses.
Most elderly people will, at some
point, face major losses that can feel
overwhelming to their sense of self
and well-being. Remember that earlier in their lives they were productive,
healthy, and independent. Being compassionate, asking questions, listening
to their opinions, and validating their
feelings will go a long way toward
nurturing the relationship between
well-meaning relatives and their elderly loved ones.

DEFINITION
Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation
caused by excessive stretching of the
plantar fascia. The plantar fascia is a
broad band of fibrous tissue which runs
along the bottom surface of the foot,
attaching at the bottom of the heel
bone and extending to the forefoot.
When the plantar fascia is excessively
stretched, this can cause plantar fasciitis, which can also lead to heel pain,
arch pain, and heel spurs.

CAUSE
Plantar Fasciitis often leads to heel
pain, heel spurs, and/or arch pain.
The excessive stretching of the plantar fascia that leads to the inflammation and discomfort can be caused by
