Application in prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for filling up
of the below mentioned vacant post of Lower Division Clerks by direct recruitment in
Collectorate South.

1). Higher Secondary School Certificate or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
2). Should be computer literate.
3).Knowledge of Konkani.
Knowledge of Marathi

5). Age:

Not exceeding 40 yrs (Relaxable for Government

servants upto 5 yrs in accordance with instructions or
order issued by Government), as on date of receipt of
application form i.e 17.07.2015.

N.B: The above age limit is enhanced by 2 years by Govt. of Goa vide Notification
No.1/49/76-PER (Part III) dated 28.10.2014 Published in Official Gazette, Series I,
No.31 dated 30.10.2014.
NOTE: Age is relaxable to:
1). Scheduled Tribe 5 years as on 17.07.2015.
2). Other Backward Class by 3 years as on 17.07.2015.
Candidate possessing the above mentioned qualification as on 17.07.2015 and
possessing 15 years Residence Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, Govt.
of Goa may submit their application to The Collector South, Margao in the prescribed
application form. The prescribed application form enclosed in the advertisement, may
be typed out on plain paper or can be down load from website or
from CFC Section in the Office of Collectorate South between 9.30 hrs to 15.30 hrs.
The application forms completed in all respects should reach the office of the
Collectorate, South Margao on or before 17.07.2015. No certificates are required to
be attached to the application form. Incomplete application forms, application forms
received after 17.07.2015 and applications not in prescribed form will be summarily
rejected and no intimation will be send to the applicant in this regard.
In case application forms are send by post they should reach the office of
Collector, South on or before 17.07.2015.

The candidates working in Government Departments/Offices should apply
through Proper Channel in prescribed application form only, so as to reach the
application on or before 17.07.2015. All the application forms received after
17.07.2015 will be summarily rejected and no intimation will be send to the applicant
in this regard.
During the selection process, verification of original certificates/documents will
be done. The candidates will have to produce requisite original and valid certificates/
documents such as Birth Certificate, Certificate and Mark List of passing Higher
Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution,
Valid Residence Certificate, Valid Caste Certificate, Valid Employment Registration
Card etc before the Recruitment Boards. Original certificates/documents will be
checked and only eligible candidates will be permitted to the next state of recruitment
process. The candidates who fail to produce the requisite original and valid
certificates/documents will be eliminated from the recruitment process and in no case
candidates will be allowed provisionally.
The Candidates who qualify the document verification will be subjected to a
written examination of 100 marks as under. The marks obtained in the written
examination will not be considered for selection since written examination will be
conducted only to shorlist the candidates. No representation or revaluation of written
examination paper or reconduct of written examination will be entertained. The

In order to have proper balance between the objective assessment of a written

examination and the subjective assessment of personality by a viva voce test, the
number of candidates to be called for interview in order of the marks obtained in the
written examination will not exceed twice or at the highest, thrice the number of
vacancies to be filled as per Office Memorandum No. 1/6/83-PER (Vol.II) Pt(a) dated

The selection of the candidates who passes in the written examination for the
post of Lower Division Clerks will be on the basis of assessment of comparative
