Facility Maintenance Supervisor Managed several departments (i.e. tool room and maintenanc e departments) across three shifts to include, but not limited to the following trades: machinists, tool operat ors, mechanics, millwrights, pipefitters, electricians, laborers, etc.  Responsible for all hiring, safety, training and grievances (Union facility) for departments in coordination with the HR Department  Ensured personnel were motivated, trained and productive Set short and long-term facility maintenance objectives and prioritized activities and tasks; adjusted priorities when appropriate; planned for equipment needs; reviewed reques ts and ens ured that repaired equipment, tools and/or materials were available  Examples of maintenance activities included building, production equipment, HVA C, electrical power distribution, waste treatment, hydraulic presses and hydraulic and pneumatic pumps Supervised the removal of 2 robotic gantry systems and coordinated their replacement with a multi -robotic system to improve line speed and reduce downtime Implemented a new Job Boss system (bar coding system similar to an ERP or MRP system) to track the associate’s hours per job. This lead to better coordination of blue print tooling and opened up more resources for critical repairs because it tracked the labor hours. This also ensured more accurate quotes to the customer regarding cost of labor. Organized the removal and installation of a 10,000 square foot fire protection system. This required coordinating a 3 shift operation, maintaining and ordering mat erials and equipment necessary to perform the job, along with coordinating with production to avoid interferences. Implemented a consignment parts ordering system for truck repair. This allowed for frequently used parts to be on hand in a restricted area. The supplier maintained the parts level inventory and the costs associated with the inventory until they were removed for use. This lead to a 25% increase in productivity and reduced the average repair time by 40%.
