In the 7-3-6-2-5-1-4 progression in Ab......Here are some suggestions by Cas10a
FG/BbDBb - (Gmin7 or Gm7) I think you made a typo, 'cause the G should be the l
ower bass (GF/BbDBb)
CEG/BbDbEG - Nice chording... Now we have G-C / 7-3 -- You can substitute/Pass o
n the C here with F#/Gb Chord...Tritone Substitution.
EbAb/CEbFAb - (Fm7) Just looking at the right hand, use the F in Left hand-chord
ed (FEb/CEbFAb). You can play either way, but if you are not playing with a bass
player harder to hear this is an F chord. This is your 6...G-C-F
GBb/DbEGBb - From what it is looks like...you're walking from the F chord to you

r Bb chord. F-G-Ebdim7/Adim7(next chord below)-Bbmin7
EbA/EbGbAC - Since it is walking to the Bb...(AEb/EbGbAC-Adim7) F-G-A-Bb walk..
.Your chord will work also.
BbFAb/FAbBbDb - Perfect G-C-F-Bb...Heres an alternate chord right hand (BbFAb/CD
bEbAb)
EbBb/FGBbDb - Great G-C-F-Bb-Eb...alternate chord (EbBb/CDbG)
GBb/CEbAbC - take a look at the Ab chord...I see the (Abmaj9) but without the Ab
in bass, once again, you can't really hear the Ab chord...try (AbEb/GBbCEb) sam
e chord-Abmaj9)
E/EbAb/ - Filler
D/DbGb - Filler
DbFAb/CEbAb - Outstanding G-C-F-Bb-Eb-Ab-Db...Alternate Db Chord (DbAb/FBbCEb)

SOJ, you have GOT to share your thought process for this progression.
These are the types of smooth jazz chords that I want to learn to incorporate, b

*sigh*
May, talk to me (us). Tell us how, dude.

In the KEY OF Db
(WITHOUT TRITONES) 7-3-6
7=C
3=F
6=Bb
Left Hand/Right Hand
C/EbGbBbDb
F/FADbF
Bb/AbCC#F

Here an alternate pattern in the KEY OF Db (WITHOUT TRITONES) 7-3-6
Left Hand/Right Hand
C/BbDF------C with a Bb major
FCEb/AC#EbAb-----F7#9#5
BbF/ACDF----BbM9
Here is one in the KEY OF Db (WITH TRI-TONES) 7-3-6
7=C
3=F
6=Bb
BbE/BbEbGb
AEb/AbDbF
DAb/DbGbBb or AbCC#F/AbCEb
In the KEY OF Ab The 7-3-6 is:
7=G
3=C
6=F
IN THE KEY OF Ab (WITH TRI-TONES)
Left Hand/Right Hand
7=FB/FBbDb
3=EBb/EbAbCEb
6=EbGAbC/EbFGBb OR EGAC/EGAC
IN THE KEY OF Db THE DI-TONE IS:
Left Hand/Right Hand
DbF/BbEbAb
IN THE KEY OF Ab THE DI-TONE IS:
Left Hand/Right Hand
AbC/FBbEb
Try it!!
