have a good collection of maps .
. . a lot of people come here just
to look at maps, she said.
What we do with [this documentation] is that we arrange
items according to the Library of
Congress system, from letter A
all the way to letter Z, she said.
We are also working on getting
them online, she added.
The library has also made improvements by receiving valuable
and useful equipment from the
University of Maryland Baltimore
School of Law library through
the help of one of the DeMarr
Library volunteers (who is also a
Greenbelt resident), Clement Lau,

Pearl said the library is often
packed with people. We often
have standing room only with
a lot of people coming in to do
research projects and family genealogies, Pearl said.
Recently the library has also
been contacted by the county
Parks and Recreation Department
requesting historical photographs.

The DeMarr Library is open
on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
