TOK CAS
Theory of
Knowledge is an
interdisciplinary
requirement
intended to
stimulate critical
reflection on the
knowledge and
experience gained
inside and outside
the classroom.

CAS aims to instill in students a habit


for holistic development, not only
of the self but also of others:
Creative: Arts, and other experiences
that involve creative thinking.
Action: Physical exertion contributing
to a healthy lifestyle.
Service: An unpaid and voluntary
exchange for underprivileged
communities.

EE

The Extended
Essay is a 4,000
word research
paper that
acquaints students
with the kind of
independent
research and
writing skills
expected by
universities.

These subjects are designed as learning modules


and taught once per semester for 2 years.

NOTE: Both assess learning annually and therefore,


provide grades in IBDP Grade 11 & Grade 12.

Both use the XS IBDP grading system and employ


the XS IBDP teaching, learning and assessment
strategies.

The IB subjects, except for Math

studied at Higher or Standard Level.

Diploma candidates must study at

Conditions for IB Diploma


A. At least 12 points have been gained
on the 3 higher level courses.

Diploma Results

At least 9 points have been gained


on the 3 standard level courses.
B. A grade of at least a D in TOK or
EE. If a student receives an E in
either EE or TOK, he is disqualified
from the diploma.
C. Not proven guilty of any academic
dishonesty/malpractice.
D. An approved CAS program has been
completed.
