Eligibility Criteria tcs

Year of Graduation
Engineering students scheduled to graduate in the year 2015 are eligible to apply.

Relevant Disciplines
BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in any of the following disciplines:

Computer Science

Information Technology

Electronics and Electrical Engineering

Electronics and Communication

Electronics and Telecommunication

Mechanical Engineering

Electronics/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Instrumentation Engineering

Network Engineering

MCA with BSc / BCA / BCom / BA (with Math / Statistics Background)

M.Sc in Computer Science / Information Technology

Marks Criteria

Minimum Aggregate Marks of 60% and above in the first attempt in all academic courses Standard 10th onwards.

Aggregate of all subjects in all semesters to be considered (All subjects mentioned on the mark sheet).

First attempt implies securing 60% and above marks within the normal duration of the course

Improvement exam is not first attempt and hence the marks secured in improvement exams should not be considered to calculate aggre

In case you have done both, 12thand equivalent diploma, you should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in both courses.

Completion of all courses Standard 10th onwards, within the stipulated time as specified by the University/Institute without any extended educat

Backlog Criteria
No pending backlogs at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process.
It is mandatory to declare pending backlogs, if any, in the TCS Application Form.

Candidates with more than 3 years of work experience are not eligible to participate in the TCS Selection process.

Course Type
Only Full time courses will be considered.

Age Criteria
Minimum Age-18 years and Maximum Age-28 years at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process.


It is compulsory to declare gaps/breaks, if any, during your academics and work experience in the TCS Application form.

Maximum up to 24 months break may be permissible for valid reasons. Relevant document proof, as applicable, will be checked for gaps

The reason for break in academics should not be extended education.

Job Description / Responsibilities :

Assessing product requirements and functional specifications.
Collaborate with stake holders / business groups to design and implement systems that provide long term
scalability, reliability, and performance.
Debugging, preparing test cases.
Lead a team of developers, provide direction as needed for resolution of issues, task prioritization, scheduling

Desired profile of the candidate :

Expertise in programming, code development, code debugging, testing and trouble shooting.
Proficiency in problem solving & analytical skills with an eye on detailing.
Knowledge on development methodologies and technologies, such as Object Oriented design and analysis, ntier architectures and distributed environments.
Ability to think creatively
Excellent communication Skills

FAQs for Fresh Graduates

I got placed in KPIT through campus placements and have received my

offer letter. When will I know of my date of joining (DOJ)?
The Campus team would inform the candidates 10 to 15 days prior to their DOJ. This
happens once the batches are decided upon, depending on the requirement from the
delivery end. We also recommend that you use this period to brush up your technical
skills you learned in college.

I received my DOJ but my exams are finishing later than the joining date.
What happens in that case?
If you are unable to join us in the batch allotted to you, you will be joining us in the
next one. The date & timings of the next batch will be intimated to you accordingly.

I got placed in KPIT in Pune/ Bangalore through campus recruitment. Does

this mean I will be posted only in Pune/ Bangalore?
You will be joining KPIT at the nearest possible office, either Pune or Bangalore, and
undergo training. Your location will be decided, post training, based on the project
you are assigned to.

I am interested in working at KPIT, but we don't have any platform for

campus interview at our end. How do I apply?

I got placed through campus. What will my job profile be like?

You shall be placed as a campus trainee with KPIT. You will be trained on a number of
skills and technologies as per business needs and will be allocated to a business unit
on successful completion of training. Based on the requirements at the time of your
allocation, your profile will be decided and will give you ample opportunities to learn
and add to your skills.

Does KPIT offer temporary accommodation for new recruits?

Yes, we have our company guest houses in Bangalore & Pune. The accommodation is
based on the availability of the Guest house. We will be able to determine availability
once your DOJ is assigned to you.

Where is KPIT Guest House located?

Once your joining dates are finalized, we will provide the guest house details and
other logistics.

Does KPIT offer transportation (cab/bus) for employees?

Yes we provide transport facility at subsidized cost on bus routes across the city in
Pune. You will get to know the exact bus routes and timings when you join us.

If I wish to look for shared accommodation or car-pooling, will the

company help me to connect with other employees?
Once you join KPIT you can connect with other employees over our Intranet
employee portal. There are many postings on our intranet for accommodation, car
pool and all sorts of other things needed while moving to a new city.

What is the dress code policy?

We have a Formal dress code policy (no jeans) from Monday to Thursday. Casual
wear is allowed on Fridays. You will get to learn more about the dress code policy
along with other relevant information on Day 1.
