2. For issues related to aggregate scores for class 10th /12th :

You need to consider all the subjects to calculate the aggregate scores, irrespective of your
board. In case you used best of 4 or best of 5 subjects in your CAT-13 form, you need to
change the scores in the WAT/PI form and use the average of all the scores mentioned on
your scorecard.
3. For CGPA conversion issues:
a. Your institute has no formal conversion rule and does not provide any proof for the
same:
Your percentage score = total marks obtained / maximum marks possible * 100
b. Your institute has a formal conversion rule and provides a proof for the same:
Your percentage score = % age obtained as per the specified rule; you need to produce the
proof at the time of WAT/PI.
c. Your institute has a formal conversion rule but you did not use it accordingly and
have entered a wrong value in the CAT 13 form, (your actual %age and %age
mentioned in CAT 13 form does not match):

Please use the updated score in the WAT/PI form. The values may vary in the CAT and
WAT/PI form. But the ones mentioned in the WAT/PI form should be actual ones. You need
to produce the proof at the time of WAT/PI.
d. Your institute does not have a formal conversion rule but you used a formula on
your own and have entered a wrong value in the CAT 13 form
Your percentage score = total marks obtained / maximum marks possible * 100
Please use the updated score in the WAT/PI form. The values may vary in the CAT and
WAT/PI form.
4. In case of multiple grading systems CGPA out of 4 or 10 or %age scores, which score
needs to be used:
You have to use only %age scores
5. NC-OBC certificate issues:
a. The issuing date has to be between 1st April 2013 and the date of your WAT/PI
b. If it is issued before 1st April, you need to re-issue the certificate. In case you are
unable to do so before the WAT/PI, you may sign an undertaking form stating that
you would submit the certificate within an allotted time of one month, failing to
which your admission would stand cancelled.
c. Language of the certificate is not an issue
6. For fresher or final year students, in case your latest semester results have been released and
that has changed your aggregate scores, you have to use the scores mentioned in the CAT
form only. Please dont update your graduation scores for this reason.
PS: In case you are unable to produce any of the required documents as the time of WAT/PI,
you would be asked to sign an undertaking form stating that you would submit the certificate
within an allotted time of one month, failing to which your admission would stand cancelled.

Previous Section:
1. Is it necessary to get copies of all the certificates attested?
Yes. Everything that you mention in the interview form needs to be attested.
2. Whom should you get the copies attested from?
A gazetted government officer. If not possible, get it done from the Dean/Principal of your
school/college/university. If still not possible, get it done from a bank official not less than a
branch manager.
3. In case the company does not provide an experience certificate, what is to be done?
Joining letter along with pay slips (first and the latest) would suffice.
4. What is to be done in case the company/college does not provide certificates for holding
a position?

A printout of a mail sent from the official company/college id or a bonafide certificate stating the
same would suffice.
5. What is the pattern of WAT/PI?
We don't know yet. Last year, it was a 40 minute paper consisting of Summarizing a paragraph
and an Essay writing task. We expect it to be similar this year.
6. What is the dress code for WAT/PI?
Dress appropriately. Business casuals or Business formals would do.
7. What would be asked in Personal Interview?
Anything from your personal life, graduation courses (especially in case you are a fresher) and
professional life may be asked.
8. My category certificate in not as per the format given (language or structure)
The format provided is just a sample that can be used to get the certificate issued. In case you
have a certificate in a different format or in a different language (few candidates had it in Hindi,
against the format provided in English), it would still solve the purpose and you need not get it
re-issued.
9. What rules need to be followed for issues regarding the CGPA to %age conversions?
10. For issues related to best of 5 or 6 subjects in class 10th/12th results, what needs to be
done?
11. For final year students, in case the latest semester results have been declared after the
CAT exam, and the latest results dont match with the scores mentioned in the CAT form,
then which marks should be mentioned in the WAT/PI form?
We shall update on questions 9, 10 and 11 after confirming from the admissions office.
