Descriptive Discussion: The problem in past society and present society it shows and explain the crimes that’s been committed by juveniles. This bar graph is a representation of the total Delinquency Offenses between 1983 through 1986. The bar graph shows the three major offenses of cases that been brought into court. That being said one can see that delinquency offenses are rank first of the offenses out of the three major offenses. The second highest is property offenses, the third is others and fourth is violent offenses. Interpretive Discussion: My interpretation of this graph is our society is surrounding by crimes. That being said this bar show us as society that our delinquency offenses problem is near not being on the verge of being solve. One will think that property offenses will be the highest for delinquency, but as the study show, its close but not the leading problem on our hand as a nation.

females

Descriptive Discussion: This pie graph shows the case rate in which gender occur. The male, as one can see has almost tripled the rate once it comes down to case rate by gender. Female Case rate has still risen by year. The graph shows an outstanding rate for both, but a very distinctive rate for our males. Interpretive Discussion: My interpretation of this graph is one of belief and one of disgrace. This graph means our male gender is in danger. The reason I say that is, as one can see of male delinquency almost triple females delinquency Although delinquency case rates are much higher for males than females, females rates increased more of decreased less than the male to get the overall result. This mean the male has the most appearance in the court system and is the most criminalized gender out of the two. This to me means there aren’t enough role models for males to try in prevent the rate that is going for males.

Female Male

Descriptive Discussion: This line graph show the total case disposed. The total of case disposed by gender was between males to females. Males being the highest in number total cases disposed. It seems as though male total case stayed higher than 160,000. Female showing they dropped from 1994- 2004, but stayed 120,000 and up. These two genders together is a high total. Interpretative Discussion: My interpretation of this line graph is males see to be highly driven in criminal acts. IT shows no indication that the rates going to be lower than 140,000 with males cases and no lower than 100,000 cases disposed. Even though the female case disposed shows lower than males, there is a possibility that their cases can increase. It’s a sad disappointment that males are extremely high. I feel that we as people need to get involve with our youth to decrease this problem.

Disparities in the Problem- Figure 4

Figure 4 The most Serious Offenses by Age
45 40 35 case range 30 25 20 15 10 5 0 age 15 or younger age 16 or older property public order drugs

Descriptive Discussion: This graph shows the type of crime and the age which they commit them. The ages of 15 or younger show that drugs offenses is higher than the ages 16 or older. The offenses balanced once it came down to property. The three offenses that occur are the three major offenses. The line graph show that the ages we need to focus on and what they are more capable of doing. Interpretive Discussion: My interpretation is drugs, public order, and property offenses are out of control, especially looking at the age range committing the crimes. I wouldn’t every thought that age 15 or younger wouldn’t be higher then age 16 or older, once it comes down to drug offenses. This tells me that this age group is being exposed to drugs at an early age. My interpretation about this graph shows me that our young people are on the verge of being long term criminals at different expects of offenses.

Delinquency Child Offense Summary and Conclusion

The problem we are face with today, most have a solution. The problems are the past and present, therefore what will be the outcome of the future. The problem we faced today with our youth being disposed in the court system is a major problem to society. The reason I state that is, our black males is on the verged of been distinct, and with the rate our juveniles going now society is going to be tough for them, for they have the wrong concept of life. The issues that were talk about within the graphs are serious: like the case rates by gender, number of cases disposed, and serious offense by age. We as society shouldn’t look over them. Why one may say that is the question. The answer is our youth is the future and our future can be destroyed if we don’t steer them down the right path in life, and show them the court system is not the way to go. The case rate in which gender occur shows our youth male destroying their life, by allowing themselves to go down the wrong path. The male, as one can see has almost tripled the rate once it comes down to case rate by gender. Female Case rate has still risen by year. The graph shows an outstanding rate for both, but a very distinctive rate for our males. My interpretation of this graph is one of belief and one of disgrace. This means our male gender is in danger. The type of crime and the age which our youth are committing them, has me wondering; where are the parents. The ages of 15 or younger show that drugs offenses is higher than the ages 16 or older. The offenses balanced once it came down to property. The three offenses that occur are the three major offenses. The line graph show that the ages we need to focus on and what they are more capable of doing. My interpretation is drugs, public order, and property offenses

In conclusion, we as society need to solve this problem. I know there are going to still be some who travel down the wrong path, but if we can stop one or two from ending up in the court system, we did our job. The things we need to realize are a lot of the ones, who were committing the crimes didn’t have anyone to guide them. That being said they had no correct role model, which means they had the role model that encouraged them to do crimes, instead of guiding them down the right path. So with that being said, our youth is the future and our future can be destroyed if we don’t steer them down the right path in life, and show them the court system is not the way to go.
