What is the Certificate in Business Excellence?

The Certificate in Business Excellence was developed by NZBEF to provide individuals with a greater
understanding of the comprehensive framework that is the Baldrige Criteria, alongside the tools to
implement a successful Business Improvement practice in your organisation.

Who should do this programme and why?

Individuals who are reponsible for leadership, business analysis and planning, processes, or
quality improvement in your organisation.
Organisations that are considering entering into either the NZBEF Business Excellence or
Achievement Awards programme.
Teams of organisations who are wanting their staff to begin implementing a Business Excellence
MBA or other similar business students wanting to increase their comprehension of Business
Excellence frameworks

What does the programme cover?

The Certificate in Business Excellence is provided in a modular, learning format with participants gaining
knowledge and understanding by using a wide variety of tools and approaches. It is underpinned by the
Criteria for Performance, with practical exercises and live examples and case studies from award
winning organisations. These actual experiences will provide you and your organisation with the
knowledge and understanding to support a business excellence approach in your organisation or
department. This programme encourages a fully interactive forum and the exchange of ideas is part of the

We offer a number of services specifically tailored to help businesses in the London corporate
hospitality/leisure and travel and tourism sectors to raise their profile to their target audience. The LCCI
PA Club enables you to promote your venue, restaurant or service to London PAs who are members of
our Club. You can do this by being featured in our monthly LCCI PA Club enewsletter, which is mailed to
over 2,500 London PAs directly and via our relationshuip with a third party is accessible by a further

Influence Policy

With the backing of the Chamber of Commerce your views can

be taken to the British Chamber of Commerce and passed

Suffolk Chamber has a strong working relationship with the

Suffolk MPs and is in a unique position to raise your views

further to a national level through the British Chambers
policy teams who have a seat at the highest table in

the Board of any of the variety of thematic groups that
Suffolk Chamber runs. These include the Transport and
Infrastructure Board and the Suffolk International Trade

England Panel for Suffolk where you can feed into the
regional Bank of England's representative. This panel helps

factors into how the Bank sets interest rates.

government consultation exercises. This will involve sharing

government White Papers and encouraging feedback
