This question is Assumed Answered.

Hi,

I've created a payment medium form in DMEE, which is fields separated by delimiter type.

Bank requires to have filler (spaces) for some fields, however, I tried all methods still not able to
fill in any space for a blank field, SAP trim out all the spaces in the output form.

Any idea how to do? Thanks in advance.

In the field properties, check the field 'Target Offset' in the Attributes tab. You set the
number of characters space you want. Also check the Status field if it is blank (set to
standard) and check the output.

on the element attributes tab, there is a parameter called Atom Handling, select option 02

Hello,

You can create a Tab Delimited file using DMEE.

For this you need to create a Technical Node with an Exit Module
"Z_TAB_DELIMITER" (proposed name) & pass this value between two fields.

Coding for the Exit Module:

FUNCTION Z_TAB_DELIMITER.
*"-------------------------------------------------------------------*"*"Local Interface:
*" IMPORTING
*"
VALUE(I_TREE_TYPE) TYPE DMEE_TREETYPE
*"
VALUE(I_TREE_ID) TYPE DMEE_TREEID
*"
VALUE(I_ITEM)
*"
VALUE(I_PARAM)
*"
VALUE(I_UPARAM)
*" EXPORTING
*"
REFERENCE(O_VALUE)
*"
REFERENCE(C_VALUE)

*"
REFERENCE(N_VALUE)
*"
REFERENCE(P_VALUE)
*" TABLES
*"
I_TAB
*"-------------------------------------------------------------------C_VALUE = CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>HORIZONTAL_TAB. "Tab Delimiter.
ENDFUNCTION.

Hope this is clear.

Suhas

Hello,

1. Create a "Technical Node".

2. In the ATTRIBUTES tab, "Mapping Procedure" section, check the

EXIT MODULE radia-button.

3. Then in the SOURCE tab, "Exit Function" give the name of the Func.
module.

Help for DMEE file creation - conversion

function

Hi all,

I have a simple question regarding my DME output file within transaction DMEE in SAP.

I would like to avoid the space characters after the value which is determined in the specific
fields. Meaning if the field is defined as "
Character" with length "35" but the value itself has only 3 characters I would like to skip the 32
space characters afterwards.

Example:
Instead of output "car

"separator"xxxxx

"separator ....

I would like to have "car"separator"xxxxx"separator....

I am sure it is possible with the conversion function but unfortunately I cannot find the right one.
Your help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.
Sven

The extra spaces can be removed as follows:

In the transaction DMEE --> Head --> Format attributes --> Field type = 1

Hi,

If you need all the fields in one row, you can use one segment containing these elements.
If you need these fields in four rows, then you may create four segments having one field
within it.

Dear Friends

I am using a DMEE Tree t generate a payment file.

Everything is fine except that teh bank requires the trailing spaces to be deleted.

i.e. I am getting an output like below but with spaces in place of dots

:50H:/09618078222002EUR....................<CR/LF>

Sana'a............................................ <CR/LF>

:70:DMEE-TEST14.................<CR/LF>

Note:The dots represents spaces which I want to remove. The dots are added to show you
the output...

The <CR/LF> is printing at the end of the field length. I mean if the field is 34 Chr long
then the

<CR/LF> is getting printed at 35th Char irrexpective of teh field contents...

But the bank requires in the below format. i.e. remove the spaces thats all.

:50H:/09618078222002EUR<CR/LF>

Sana'a<CR/LF>

:70:DMEE-TEST14<CR/LF>

Can anyone help.

I am working on SAP 4.6C

Help will surely be reawrded....

Hello Sam,

I DO NOT know if i can make you understand the logic, but will give it a try )

The <CR/LF> is printing at the end of the field length. I mean if the field is 34 Chr
long then the

<CR/LF> is getting printed at 35th Char irrexpective of teh field contents...

You define an element of length 35 char, then in the "Mapping Procedure" select the
"Own Mapping (Atoms)" & set the "Atom Handling" as 01 (Concatenate values in
element).

Then create the ATOMS: one with the value "DMEE-TEST14" & the other atom with
the value "<CR/LF>

". The output will be a concatenation of the two fields )

Did you get what i wanted to tell you )

Problem with SEPA DMEE-Tree

Pain.008.001.02

Dear all,

We are currently struggling with the DMEE format-tree pain.008.001.02. I'e managed to solve
quite some problems, but this one just reoccurs and reoccurs:

InitgPty

Ist always empty no matter what I do.

The XML-Checker says:

Recommendation The recommended element "<id>" is missing. (CGI Guideline)

The Bank (Spain) say, they need the OrgId and the Id.

From the structure I find in the internet I believe this node has to be:

InitgPty
Id
OrgId
Othr
Id

InitgPty, Id, OrgId and Othr are set to no mapping. And the last entry (Id) ist set to structure
field with source = FPAYHX and Field name = SND_DEBTOR_ID.

Can somebody please help me to solve this problem? I cannot see what's wrong.

Any help or hint is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance,

Jessica

Problem solved: Hello everybody, Solution: The node is: InitgPty ->Id -->OrgId --->Othr ---->Id
But that really doesn't matter how the node is called. If it is more then one level. Pls. only add the
next level, then save and activate the tree. Add the next level, save and activate. And so on. Even
if the node do not have a mapping to them. I suggest proceeding this way. It solved my problem
with emtpy nodes. Sometimes it is as easy as this (took me a long time to figure that out!). Hope
this helps others, too. Jessica
